The actual thing that's ruining this game

It’s the bad players. You just can’t force them to do their job.

The ones that sit right outside the spawn and snipe.
The ones that NEVER change class to help the team.
The ones who frankly just can’t shoot for .
The ones that have NO idea what the objective is or how to complete it.
The ones who say "
this broken game" and rage quit, cause you are the living embodiment of everything I just stated.

Now I can tolerate 1 or 2 of these people on my team but it seems like there is always 5 or 6 of them on a team. So you end up with 2 or 3 people banging their head against a wall.

Sure there are other problems with this game. Weapon imbalance, some really poorly designed levels, and hold button X to do all kinds of things. But those things can be patched. What can’t be patched is the player.

There … I’ve vented. I feel better.

On Xbox live, me Jess and Horse were talking about this, couldnt agree more mate. Also I hate Downed fire users. stares at jess

You use it as much as I do. I’m just better at it then you and I pick the right weapon for the job. You’re just mad because I kill you so much.

Give ppl. time to learn the game and physics of it and ppl will have more heashots than u can imagine :), spawn snipers will get bored of it ( some of them), some ppl just play one class as they like it and theres nothing that will make them change class.
Ppl. that dont know objectives are probably new players and u should guide them and they will lead ur example.
Half of the ppl that say this game is broken is still going to play it, they just moan from boredom or lack of skill and personally i’m getting tired of reading new topics about “game is broken”

It’s really just the same in any team-based game. Your team sucks? You’re ****ed.

I’d really like to see some persistent stat tracking and matchmaking with good team balance. Matchmaking and dedicated servers aren’t mutually exclusive.

Any game that is too much based on character classes has that problem, including Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

That’s precisely why I hate that type of design… everyone has their preferences and shouldn’t be forced to play very specific classes for X reasons.

Yes, you have a game where you can play your favorite class forever. It’s called Call of Duty:MW/WaW/MW2/Black Ops. However this is Brink, you have to be a team player.

Another thing ruining this game is people joining servers then quitting because there aren’t enough players in there, even though with 10 minutes patience the game will more than likely fill up. OK, maybe lag issues could be happening but I see so many green bars join then run away when they see 4 bots a side.

I don’t understand how people could fail to understand the objectives in this game. There is bright yellow text spelling out what you have to do and sometimes if you would need to change class to achieve said objective.
Just got off a resort game where my team pushed all the way to the final, then sat back in their base and tried to rack up kills, seemingly unsure what to do next, I managed to get a hackbox on and up to about 30, but then got surrounded, and promptly gave up with that and just John Woo’d it for the rest of the round.

Yes Hyrage, I agree. Bad Company 2 was hampered by the low IQ of numerous people that got that got the game, all the wookie wonders sitting on a tree half a mile out. Even though you can win most games on BC2 with an army of engineers and the odd assault. I don’t understand hating the design though, it’s not too hard to change class. And BC2s classes were dynamic enough they could handle most situations pretty well.

Give it time and players will catch on to what they are really suppose to do.

Tell me, how many FPS games with two opposite teams do not require teamplay?

(jeavis) #11

Adding team voice chat might help a little bit. Having to form a fireteam to use team chat is stupid and nobody really uses it. I say keep fireteam chat for people who just want to chat with their friends, but there should be team chat as well.

(DubPlate) #12

Yes, had my best and most enjoyable game the other day simply because everyone was doing their job the best they could.

(A.i) #13

I agree, sometimes its a blast when everyone is cooperating to complete objectives - people actually split up in groups and flank from different sides and do different objectives, but then the other times you just want to murder your own team… playing operative helps a bit in ignoring a bad team

Says the guy who went ‘knife only’ :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(FoFifth) #15

Exactly! Why for “standard match” mode the VOIP is disabled? In all the rest of the matches its enabled, so why would you disabled something like that?

(A.i) #16

I didn’t care about the outcome by that time - was my last map and I did have my share of killing

Pretty much any TDM game, where 1 really good player can carry a team of mediocre players to victory.
