For an example do you need the play the beyblade phantom to understand he is broke as fuck ? I dont think so. So y’all keep this you dont know it yet bullshit. Because yes its pretty understandable on the paper, like everyone said it Thunder is a fucking assault he will not often be alone, and even if he flashes himself his teammate will still see you and that will be as easy as picking strawberry for them. And the thing thunder gets done was getting done better by other mercs already so no he doesnt really brings something on the table.
Thanks a lot

As I said in my previous post, you just sound upset another Assault merc is getting added, because the camera can only be used while you hold down a particular button, so in other words you aren’t doing anything while looking through it. Compare that Vasilli who can just throw it out and forget about it.
Thunder will bring a lot more to the game because he’ll get shit done, and a common theme with Recon mercs is they a lot of times detrimental to the team since they aren’t contributing anything, and I sincerely doubt Aimee will do much better.
And yes, you DO have to play something to determine if it’s op, cause anything can seem broken from a victim’s pov.
Recon are not detrimental to a team if you play them well, its a question of playstyle. Its not because you are more comfortable as being an assault that everyone is, im not as good as an assault, i play mainly medic and fire support and then recon sometimes. To say recon are detrimental to a team you must have not played with a good one because when a phantom or a sniper keeps killing your medic and engineer before letting them do anything you are pretty much fucked in the party if you cant stop him. i need to hold a button down for the camera oh crap because having some quickshot regularly and picking off the key mercs is too difficult that is probably why dont play recon if you cant do that. Like i said anything thunder does can be done better by any other. And again Yes you can say if a merc is broke by looking at it i didnt needed to play the old beyblade phantom to understand how broken this was.
“Anything Thunder does can be done better by any other [merc].”
Well…
No other merc can stun and temporarily blind others in a large AOE. Thunder, from the looks of it, arguably has one of the best close quarters weapons available (MK-46 seems to behave like a giant Timik) with a massive magazine and high fire rate, and he has a butt-ton of health.
If anything, his job is to breach the enemy lines and be a spearhead for pushes. The only other merc that can do that effectively is Fragger. No other merc can.

Well, nobody here has been under the conc’s effects yet, and it’s kinda hard to tell the exact effects off of 10 seconds of video.
Like I said earlier, we’re going to have to wait until release to figure out how strong Thunder really is.
OK, this has gone a bit off-topic and isn’t exactly a constructive post in the first place. If you want to discuss the merits of Thunder then please make a new thread in the Mercenary section of the forums. Closing.
