Thank you for Dirty Bomb! - To MissMurder, SplashDamage and Nexon

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for doing such a good job with everything, especially listening to the community. I’ve been playing many first person shooters for a very long time, and I was extremely impressed when I started playing this game. The balancing has been done very well, including the maps, classes, weapons and abilities. Although I’d imagine some tweaking will be needed, it has been done very well so far.

My favourite part about this game is that there’s NO BS!!! Every fps game has that weapon that all the scrubs that don’t care to be better at the game uses to rack up easy points. An example of this would be noob tubes (rocket/grenade launchers) in CoD and exploding tomahawks in Blacklight Retribution. As an avid competitive fps gamer this means a lot to me.

I know it’s been 2 years and we’re still in closed beta, and many people are upset about this, but by all means take your time! You’re all doing an absolutely amazing job, and the game is looking very good. Don’t you dare rush it! As far as competitive PC FPS goes, besides CS:GO (and ShootMania, Quake and Unreal Tournament to a much smaller degree) there really hasn’t been any game so far that really fits the niche of a fast paced competitive fps shooter with objectives and actual guns (not lasers). Even so, no competitive FPS games in the last few years have been released at all.

I feel that this game has some genuine potential, and all though I am very grateful, I beseech you do not give up! I have played a few FPS games that had huge potential to go competitive but missed the mark due to lack of publisher/producer support (Blacklight Retribution, Soldier Front 2 to an extent - P2W makes me cry blood). I have real hopes for this game, and with the right effort this game has the ability to even surpass CS:GO because of the modern, fast paced objective oriented game that Dirty Bomb is, as opposed to the archaic, basic, slow paced (because of no respawn) game that CS:GO is (no hate on CS:GO, very good game, tough learning curve, very skill based).

I was pondering giving up on competitive FPS games until I got my email with the beta key for this game, and after playing it in beta, I’m willing to give this competitive genre one last ride with you guys by my side.

Keep it up mercs! And never be afraid to #PlayDirty!!!
