Is it me, or does a group of enthusiasts make a better game these days, than any large corporation?
I gotta try it out and see how it compares to TF2 (which has been tainted with cosmetics and buncha other stuff that went wrong).

@TheStrangerous Huh… just browsed through the wiki and there are some changes I really liked (Soldiers rockets only dealing 90 dmg for example) and some that I can’t even begin to understand (Dispensers not upgradeable and the wrench only dealing 6 dmg while the soldiers shovel deals 65).
Also I don’t see what’s wrong with the current TF2. Ever since the Casual Match Making update I play it even more then Dirty Bomb.
Sure there are some issues I don’t like about it (like broken backstab mechanics and soldier balancing) but which game is perfectly balanced?

Problem is, Tf2 doesn’t have “vanilla mode” with vanilla weapons only. And same goes to option for turning off cosmetics, which could’ve benefited better performance and better visaul clarity.

No Ambassador, dealbreaker for me honestly.
Say what you want about the Ambassador but that is the most rewarding gun to use, if I could change it, I’d get rid of the whole cooldown thing and just make it fire slower and do less damage than the Revolver, in exchange for the headshots.
Numerically speaking, it’d kill faster assuming good aim, slower if you simply could not nail those headshots, which I think is a fair trade.
No, that’s not necessarily a good thing. If the Ambassador was buffed that way, why use the Stock Revolver in a professional match?
I think that if the Ambassador were to be buffed to get stronger against combat classes (by having a slower TTK against Sniper but faster against overhealed Pyro or Soldier) then I believe that would be the fairest option.
Actually, that might not even be an option.

Because if you can aim well, you would never have to worry about cooldown time or anything like that again. Basically, when the gun is ready to fire, it’s a headshot. Pinpoint accuarate and able to deal 102 damage at any range? That’s my kind of gun. Even if the fire rate was between 33% to 50% slower than the Revolver, as long as each shot was pinpoint accurate and would headshot, it’d be amazing.

So, have you played it yet? How is it?[/quote]
Yeah, I tried it out.
The DM classic mode is fun, it was Mannpower done right. Really like how every “Merc” class has same type of health and mobility, and how they can pick up any primary and secondary all over the map. This is how I’d love to play an arena shooter, without this whole rush over armor/health pickups.
However there were only few US servers with high ping. Not great for European like me, trying to find some fun. Oh well, multiplayer mods need miracles to happen, in order to populate them with players.
