Texturing Problem, why do some textures not appear?

So I made a room for my map and textured it with custom textures, however, when I load it, (+devmap) some textures load, and others appear as black and orange squares (you know what I mean)

Why does this happen? Its so frustrating, I’ve put all textures in the same folder, they’re all either .jpg or .tga - I cant think of what else can affect this.

Check the console by pressing the ‘~’ key. Any warnings as why a texture doesn’t load should be in there.

It is probably a size problem. Texture dimensions need to be a power of 2, eg. 128 x 256, 64 x 64 or 8 x 512. (The last set of dimensions is useful for a “trim” texture.)
