texture of a free rotated brush

i`ve rotated a brush(free rotation) and gtk 1.2.11 shows the texture correct, but after compile(bsp -meta vis -fast light -fast -fastgrid with q3map2 2.3.32) it is wrong :frowning: this was tricky before 1.2.11 and in most cases the texture was wrong after rotation, but i wonder why this still happens although its shows correctly in the editor

try a ‘re-texture’ using the ‘fit’ option and see if that helps (if you’ve not already tried it that is…!!)…

oh well… after a brush cleanup it lost its texture coordinates also in the editor. fit doesnt work on this cause these are three brushes(the subject is a bit misleading). i “re-aligned” it manually and it is compiled correct now :slight_smile:

ah so it sounds like you had a dodgy brush??

yup seems like that. i saw a todo task for fixing free rotation somewhere in the gtk developer sites. i thought this might been done in 1.2.11, but there is still the same problem with rotating brushes
