Terrible freezing

Seemingly at random, my game keeps freezing. Anyone know a way to minimise this, or is it server side? Haven’t got a config, but if that’s the way to go, anyone know any good ones?

Had my first dose of freezing last night. Was on Market, video jammed and audio appeared to be on repeat. People have been reporting it for months though.

Seems funny though, because I have also been kicked 3 times over the last day due to “security violations” … Seems odd to get both in the one day.

OP:

This may or may not help, but you can try capping your FPS at 60. This helped me with some issues with my old system, so might be worth a look. No big hardship to try either way.

land @Eduardo thanks for the link, the sd forums seem alot better then these forums. better software, people arent making claims of fact that are really opinion, then getting offended when you question or correct that, also nobody snapping at/attacking anybody for suggesting tdm/dm/ctf type game styles…unlike here…oh and even a civil talk about how bad the auto-shuffle each match is…unlike here…shocking how different the community over there is!!!

@Backuplight You have no idea now many times he spammed it to me private/and on my wall, adding pictures off butthurt-cream, because:
a) I once quoted Faraleth about player-hosted servers.
b) Said TDM isn’t planned by the devs (which we all already know), and
c) expressed my opinion why CTF wouldn’t work in DB.

He is really trying to troll or there is another issue I don’t understand. There is no other explanation why he is pushing this spam-agenda in every of his posts and has such a problem with the difference of an opinion and a fact.

But this is barely On-Topic, so I apologize myself.

I actually started getting this in the last week or so myself. It’s random and it seems to happen only sometime in the first 30 minutes I’ve played and then it’s smooth sailing afterwards. I’ve not gotten any security violation kicks in a long long time now though.

Yesterday I was having a lot of these, maybe once every 2 objective matches, and when it happens exactly the moment I run into an enemy, it makes me want to throw things.

I really think the bugs and technical problems are going to be DB’s greatest downfall.
Ever since I played DB I am still having these random black screen freezes where I have to restart my computer or log out and log back in.

Completely random and unpredictable.

That’s completely right.
I don’t have much time to play during weekdays but when I do:

1. You join a complete stomp game that will last for 1/2mn so not much XP to gain
2. If the game you are joining is about to end DB will crash
3. From time to time you can’t even join game without restarting “An unexpected error occured”
4. When you are in game, you can either be: kicked out due to security violation or because the connection to the server was lost
5. Worst case is this thread’s issue, the game freezes. You have to restart the whole computer to fix it

I may be wrong but these bugs have been around for quite a time without being addressed.

These problems have been around since the pre-alpha came out and still haven’t been fixed. The kicker here is that these are super simple problems that can be solved in just a couple lines of coding.

The list goes on:

1. There still is a bug in the server list where it tells us a server is not full, but when we join it, it tells us it’s fill.
2. Main Menu screen is unstable and lags from time to time.
3. Trade in is completely rigged.

BIG ONE HERE.
4. If you load in a map with others and your computer takes longer a little longer to load, you will be put into a lobby screen where you have to wait 15 seconds to deploy.
Like honestly, why the hell has this not been fixed yet?

5. Unstable fps and random fps drops. This has been a problem for almost everyone, I even sometimes see streamers complain about it during their stream.

Now all these bugs and technical problems popping up in a relatively new game is completely fine, but when they are not tended too it becomes a nuisance.
SD need to realize adding new content or new mercs is not going to make us forget game breaking bugs. Stable gameplay should be SD’s top priority.

This game has so much potential I don’t want to see it fail because bugs and technical problems were neglected.

I installed an Nvidia driver driver right around the same time I started having issues. I’m thinking about rolling it back just in case that was the cause.
