terrain problem

i have ongrouped the func_group of the terrain and no do i have a problem becouse i want to select all the brushes of the terrain

can someone help me…

hmmm… what you can try is first, CTRL-D to hide everything detail. Terrain is detail by default unless you made it by hand. Once that is hidden, hit I to select every visible brush. Hit H to hide those. CTRL-D to unhide the terrain. Now, make a huge brush that will surround/be over the terrain brushes. Make sure it’s bigger than the terrain in all 3 views (X/Y/Z). Click on Select Inside. The huge brush will disappear and all the brushes that were inside will be selected. Now, right click in the 2D windows and chose, func_group. The terrain is grouped again.

Next time make sure you don’t ungroup it

when i hit ctrl+d all the terrain goes away

It remains hidden, just try out what MadJack has written then you’ll see what he means.
Also, if you’re a little wary about doing this, create a back-up

ok. i did it but now i have another problem…

i have deleted my terrain shader and when i try to get it back i get this error when i compile my map

warning:flipped triangle

Hit Brush Cleanup… That should take care of it.

Not that it’s only a warning so the map will still load and everything “should” be fine… The worse that can happen is that the tris/trangle won’t appear in game. If that’s the case, be happy cause you’ll know where that flipped triangle is if brush cleanup can’t get rid of it.
