Terrain Alpha Blending problem!

(nukits) #1

Well i have a problem with Terrain Alpha Blending…
I downloaded Simonoc textures from http://www.simonoc.com/pages/materials/tpterrain/index.htm and i did everything what it sayd in “Readme” file.

  1. I extraced Zip file in ET/ETmain folder.
  2. I opened shaderlist.txt. file in ETmain/scripts folder
  3. I added “TERRAIN_SOC” in shaderlist.txt. file.

So i tested map and textures arent Blended…
I dont know whats wrong or what i did wrong.
I use GTKradiant 1.4.0.

Ingame pic incase…

Have you installed q3map2 ? - you need that to be able to do the blending.
If not - try version q3map_2.5.16_win32_x86

You probably don’t have the last version of q3map2 which does support dotproduct2.
At www.wezelkrozum.com you can download the version of q3map2 which comes with GtkRadiant 1.5
Override this version with the default version which is located in the gtkradiant-1.4.0 folder. (Rename the file to q3map2.exe)

If that doesn’t work replace the “q3map_alphaMod dotproduct2 ( 0.0 0.0 0.75 )” line in the shader which you’ve got from Simon’s website with “q3map_alphaMod dotproduct2 ( 0 0 1 )”.

Good Luck, Wezelkrozum.
