Terminal is just painful for attackers on first obj, the defender spawn is right next to obj and the defenders can rush to the just outside to the attacker’s spawn to make it impossible for them to get out, and if they do get out and make it to obj, they still get destroyed due to the defender spawn being right next to it.
Terminal First Obj.
I’m not sure if anyone’s brought it up yet, but if so, link me to it.
Thats what the forward spawn is for. It pushes the defenders over the walls making it harder for them to get a hold on the square.
Also attackers have 3 angles from which they can attack the square. Use this to your advantage. If they hold the luggage area, coming over the balcony allows to crush them from 2 sides. ofcourse if they are already past that area you got other problems (mainly you are outskilled or too defensive). On the flipside if you got a plant off, defenders have pretty much only one way to get to it. which makes for an easy chokepoint.

Yep, if your team is not strong enough, cap the forward spawn then plant the C4.
The problem is that too many people go the long way around when the match starts. You can actually get in that square just as fast as they can get in position to cut you off in the street (which is why you shouldn’t use the street to start). Always take the gas tunnel first.
Yeah but there are advantages if you can blow the objective without taking that forward spawn. Anyone who can get through the gate after it blows can just b-line it to the second objective. This of course requires you to be able get into that little hall and bunker down inside it.

you can’t all go gas though, cause its one choke with multiple angles to cover (mg + balcony, luggage, under balcony)

Why not? I’m not saying we should all just rush out of that same spot, but once we get into that building than there are two other directions we can go from there. One leads back into streets while the other leads into the square.

going back to the street? you might as well go back to your spawn!
if you consider going back to the street, why not take the street in the first place -> not everyone should go gas first

Because keeping them out of the generator room should be the first priority. The only mercs I think should flank around are the snipers and only so they can take out the guys trying to rush the generator room. The second priority is to either rush the objective or take the forward spawn station.

you need someone to take generator sure, but an offensive push on generator by the defense is very risky. It also takes a while for it to blow, and offense pushing generator can be trapped between 3 different angles
You just have to play more in Dome and have a good grasp on that map overplay them and yeah Dome is Satan’s playground but in my 2-3 out of 5 games in Dome we won
tbh the hardest part in there is the delivery in pylon it’s kind of easy up to the last part I guess all you need is a handy team
EDIT: I’m getting this thread confused with another thread. I really need to take a break from the forums just so I can get my mind straighten.
its really essential that the attackers use all flanks to attack. Especially the balcony mounted MG. Once the bomb is ticking and the attackers are sitting on that MG, amen for the defenders.
I would love to see the usage map of that map layout. I bet most of the time the attackers go the shortest route, through the escalators…
My experience is that most players do not use the gas tunnel. They often even dont realize its there.
This is very, very true. At the beginning of every round on Terminal, I say on mic several times to rush through the tunnel to the right.
I don’t say rush the tunnel.
I don’t say rush the gas tunnel.
I explicitly say rush through the tunnel that is directly to the right when you spawn.
90% of people run forward past the tunnel like they don’t even know it’s there.
Yeah, having everyone rush through the tunnel might not be the best plan, but it’s the shortest, most direct path, with the most cover. It always pays to have a few people go tunnel.
But no one ever does.
Best way to attack is to rush the forward spawn. Once you have that, it’s 10 times easier to blow the wall. Better still if you can get a sneaky plant, run back and capture the spawn because no one will be going there. You might get defused, but in the end it’s only a matter of time before you take the first objective.
