I agree completely. Video is fine but bland. It doesn’t sell the class abilities/differences as fun or ‘cool’. An engineer planting a minefield and autoturret and then watching them blowing up attackers is fun. An operative dropping caltrops and ambushing someone moving through them is fun. A soldier blowing stuff up with grenades or whatever they do is fun. A light medic sliding in under fire to revive is fun. Planting bombs, constructing gun emplacements, etc may or may not be fun in game but it doesn’t make people say “cool! I want to do that” which doesn’t sell the game well.

Sorry to be a downer. Nice to see a different map and shiny, non-shakycam gfx. Just weak as marketing for the class system.

This particular trailer is all about the core abilities for our classes, hence the lack of unlockable abilities in it. You’d be surprised how many people outside of this forum aren’t familiar with Brink’s classes…

Especially provided SD made a Team Fortress mod 6 years before TF2.

You guys better roll out with specialized class videos up until launch.

tokamak - Yeah, saw those too. But you just have to fight back explaining Enemy Territory (specially if they talk about Killzone) and explain the objective-typed gameplay where you must advance and you can only do so with character abilities like soldier planting bombs, engineer fixing things and operatives hacking.

These people are sad. I’m an avid TF 2 player but the only things Brink and TF 2 have in common are the class based gameplay and the cartoony graphics…

Some things I notice watching the video –

1:33 – lag, or I don’t know how to call it.

MG nest – have a 2 versions, one of them have shield, so u can shoot only in torso or legs if it in front of you

Resistance bot have a white shark jaws in front
