Tnx for the lol’s guys I take them
but I was 100% serious.
FF-on would solve OPs problem in 3 ways.
- with ff on comes bodyblocking so your teammates would have to go around you rather than passing right through you if you stop to aim.
- You don’t want to get shot, so you think about not crossing the line of fire of your teammates (bonus advantage more damage goes to the enemy)
- You don’t like to kill your own teammates so you become more mindful pulling that trigger, when a teammate crosses your line of fire and/or position yourself in a smarter way.
aside from that ff - on/off directly affects the way you play the game (look up to point 1-3 your positioning and decisionmaking tree changes).
The default tournament settings are with ff-on. Would be overall beneficial if players would learn this playstyle from day one (or at the very least had servers where they could experience this style).
As for trolling, well there are tried and tested solutions to keep it at a minimum (afterall there are games out there that do have FF-on by default).
A simple punish/forgive system, for example could very well be enough. If you get TKed you can vote to either punish or forgive that person, if that person apologizes (a simple sorry used to be enough) and/or it is clear that it is an accident or even your fault, you forgive him and the game keeps going as normal. If that guy was constantly TKing you punish him, enough punishes and he gets kicked (or even a timed banned to cool off).
