Teammate repairing with no progress?

This has been happening to me a few times on Chapel the last week or so. Definitely not a one off.

I walk up to the EV to repair it, and when I start repairing it says “team mate repairing” even though no one is actually repairing it and no one even was repairing it to begin with. There is also no progress bar when this is happening. Usually if the team mate is actually repairing it will still show you the progress bar at least. You can leave it going for 5-10 seconds and the whole time it will say team mate repairing until you stop trying to repair, then start again and from there it’s usually fine.

The problem is that it isn’t just a visual bug. When you finally get it to start saying that you’re repairing it, it starts you from 0%. The whole 5-10 or however long seconds you try and repair for when it says team mate repairing, no repair work is done on the EV.

I haven’t managed to find a cause for this yet, but I’ll keep an eye out. I think it might have something to do with hitting your repair button while you’re in the process of shooting someone or holding down mouse1 before you hit your repair key.

This probably sounds a little messy, it’s hard to explain. If you don’t quite understand what I mean please say so and I’ll try explain it a little better.

I can confirm that. On chapel and bridge.

If i run to EV from the spawn, it work alright. You can start repairing normally. But if i die in the meantime while running to EV (or even if i was already repairing EV), get revived, gets back to repairing, it says “teammate repairing” and nothing else happens. And im only one near EV, no other teammate is close. So i would guess it has something to do with getting killed?

This bug has been here for few months at least. I just got used to it and double tap F key :slight_smile: First tap for like a second just to say “teammate repairing”, then second tap i hold F key to actually start repairing.

Getting the same since about 2 patches ago. Not always but I’d say around 30% of the time.

I usually just rapidly tap the f button til i see it working, Starts working after about 4 taps Its really annoying when trying to Suicide Repair the EV (Only have to suicide repair when matchmaking is dumb.)

29.30 ish, watch when she is repairing @NxA_Noxie. I can’t get a vid myself but I don’t know if this one might help.

Unless you guys have already found the cause. I dunno. Hopefully this helps any way.
