Team switching PS3

most games on ps3 now , if any team is losing then EVERYONE switches teams to destroy the bots. i stay but it becomes impossible to leave the spawn.

add me if you arent a team switcher.

LOL thank god your already on my friends list, havent played much though recently as i already had 170hours a week+ ago and waiting for the DLC. But yeah I am a big advocate for even fair teams and have gotten in more then one arguement about it (and deleted some people). My games I will get on people about switching and at times will not leave the spawn to play until guys switch up or i can invite more people. I would add MastaPiff as well, we are both on the same page when it comes to stackers and unfair matches (and very good teamates).

Come on, you’re being harsh. The game is designed for accessibility. It just wouldn’t be accessible if it wasn’t easy to win.

Also, stats are everything!

Played a game against 6 humans yesterday while I had no other humans.

I was security.

I didn’t switch.

I won.

You should try to keep your thread titles a bit more PG, but anyhow play big teams if you want to play vs people, everyone ends up switching because the bots are aces and when there four people vs on you get wrecked. Once there are more than five humans on the other team there’s plenty of reason to switch. (I don’t because I like the challenge, but I can see the appeal.)

I am on Xbox. I constantly check the scoreboard. If there are too many folks on one side, I will swap sides to the side that needs help. If you don’t do that, the other team will start dropping out. Last night I switched to the side knowing we’d have less hope, but still had fun. :slight_smile:

also, play comp. force team balance is on. biggest team differential is +1, and only if there is an odd number of players. makes switching impossible too.

@*goo lol. if only they knew it only tracked the W/L for the last 10 matches.

I lol, at my stats site cause I usually have all Wins but I always find games with real people and we’re all so NOT as good as the bots lol it’s simpler :slight_smile:

I switch often as well but also notice that many times that many end up following me soon after and its stacked on the other team now, switch back and a few min later its stacked again, lol sometimes you just cant do it right enough. Hell have even announced i was switching to split up teams or to help out a shorthanded team and had no one come to back me up or help, thats about as frustrating as it gets especially when you are the one who staretd the game.
People want to be on the winning side or with friends but it should never be at the cost of a fair game or steamrolling match after match, and i especially hate when people spawn rape a few randoms trying to enjoy the game, give them a chance or add them so they can join us and split the teams even. But yeah cant even count the times I have died checking the scoreboard or inviting people mid match to try and even things up.

i would rather lose 2v6 than win 6v2* and i switch based on this.

*bots make all numbers 8

When I’m leveling I really don’t care. I join the side that will be able to let me gain the most points, win or lose.

i hear ya

i once joined a match at reactor 7 sec playing against just me
now how is something like that fun you get no exp and there is no challenge

also last night was really bad every match i had to switch once maybe twice a game in order to keep skill level of the teams balanced

although there is no better feeling than fighting out number because they all switched to the other side and then you beat them

That is my biggest pet peeve about this game. If I do standard freeplay, I commonly find myself along with one other person going against 5-6 humans. It is always gratifying when we win though :).

Add me if you like (damcde). I havn’t been on a lot but will be playing more over the next week or two as my work-life will slow down :).

This doesn’t seem to happen often, but when it does, it’s in the worst way possible.

But the AI is so good in this game, it makes up for it.

In all seriousness, it’s not a player issue; it’s a flaw in the game design. This kind of behaviour should have been foreseen.

the problem here too (w/ Foxer’s example) is in standard it caps at 8 humans. so if you’re rolling 1v7, no one can join to help (or is forced to). I wonder if freeplay standard has something to do with campaign/versus settings. (i…e if you are playing campaign as security, you cant get dumped into a resistance scenario, and vv.

dunno. like i said, if i were in this match (and i noticed, b/c i dont always), you’d have likely seen me jump over to the other side.

Ussaly when most of my team switches and i stay, i win. Then everyone else rages :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously tho. Don’t team switch, it is VERY annoying. I always hate that in games, if the team is losing abit they think its the end of the world and team switch. Then the team is greatly outnumberd and we lose, or we win because everyone on the other team is either a moron, noob, or im just that good. :smiley:

This is mostly a problem with Standard because it doesn’t auto balance and has an 8 human limit still…why porque whyyyyy? They put it on xbox then apparently took it off. Ok they deleted advanced and thats a good step but now make standard big teams or vice versa.

does Old-Skool not have force balance on? was in a couple matches today where my team was routinely down 1 person, but was down as many as 2-3 at times (it was also even part of the time)…i will generally switch to the undermanned team (see above), but since it was old-skool, there were no bots to pick up the slack, so the +1 +2 advantage made it rough going for my side (besides the fact that i suck, that probably played a factor lol…)

I’m a big boy and can handle getting my ass handed to me, but my bigger concern was many names on my side i hadn’t seen before, who (rage?) quit before the match finished…just a reminder that there are lots of new people (or people back after a long break) b/c of the DLC…lets be sure not to do anything to make it suck for them…big community = happy community (and vice versa)

(and to keep it especially OT, one of my teammates was ad1992 (OP) - thx for toughing it out with me today Ad)
