Then it would also be time to start thinking about a mode that is unique to DB.

We already discussed some kind ‘revive-tag’ once. It’s very similar to Gears of War team survival.

  • Two teams in a TDM map
  • Once killed the player lies on the ground, unkillable (unlike in GoW). Can’t tap out. No Respawn
  • The only way to get up again is to have another team mate help you up.
  • Another player can help the prone player up through interacting with him for a few seconds. A bar needs to be filled.

Last team standing wins.

All classes and characters possible but medics lose their revive abilities.


Another thing I’d like to see for both Revive Tag and TDM is capture points scattered across the map that give bonuses to the teams (health buffs, extra ammo clips etc). This keeps the DB spirit in the game and stops teams from camping in a corner.

Spawn with only the side arm, collect weapons and med/ammo packs scattered around the map, lock the ability of the FdOps and Medic to throw med/ammo packs :smiley: Colect the Tier 3 or Ultimates weapons/abilities from specific places on the map instead of gathering xp to unlock it. Or at least that is the idea to bring more fun in the TDM. :smiley:

something like gungame, or squad tdm in battlefield would be neat.

cant say ive ever been a huge fan of tdm modes, but certainly willing to help playtest it. i only see one server in some random part of the world currently though :stuck_out_tongue:

To answer my own question, just spent some time on the Singapore TDM server and at the moment your team gets one point when you incap an opponent and another point when he’s gibbed or gives up to respawn. Self-inflicted incaps don’t give points to the other team, but they can still score the gib. So getting incapped and revived would give 1 point to the other team, getting incapped and respawning 2, so medics should indeed be able to deny points through revives :cool:

Hi,

TDM should be a selection of the map not the hole map, I really like TDM and love the close combat fast action.

DB should benefit from TDM but please just pure TDM team vs team with area selected from the maps so its not to big.

Other game modes I would like to see is hard point or domination again close combat action maybe with only selected classes.

i used to be part of the map connouk i think, last time i played tdm it was on victoria and it was the last stage of the map from the wall onwards

I do play it lol well got big lags because the server is in aussi :frowning:
