i made a tank and spline path ( i used the tank stuff from helmsdeep) but when i try to compile the map it gives me LEAK… Bla and the red arrow is outside of my level… When i select File-pointfile the white line that appears shows my spline path!!! I tried to make a howoll box around my map, but i still have the mdf problem… I need Help from you guys!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Is the red line drawn, dose it say entity leaked or dose it say map leaked too?

what version of radiant are you using, this seems to be an annoying bug with radiant 1.4.0, try 1.3.8, it tells you an entity is leaked but dont worry it isnt

if it dose draw the red line where dose it follow? dose it actually go outside your map and check structual and detail
I’ve had a leaked map sometimes ago because an origin brush as part of a “func_door_rotating”-entity stuck in a structural brush.
May be it’s the same problem with your map.
Just move every entity(brushes) out of structural brushes.

The message i have in the dark window says: Entity 1 Brush 0: Entity leaked
608 flooded leafs; entity reached from outside-- no filling -
yes, i am using 1.4.0 and now as you said, i will try 1.3.8

The red line is outside of the big square of the map; its near the one of the corners. I followed it and it points the COrnEr. But everything is ok… i checked it… … : :???:
The strange thing is that the leak appeared when i made the spline paths of the tank and edit some of the main gates… maybe this is the source of the problem…
another issue is that when the dark compile window closes and i press “N” it gives me a functional_constructable entity which I DIDN’T EDIT … so? :disgust:
I had this kind of problem when I has script_mover that did not have orgin brush. the orgin is somehow magically transferred into orgin of the map (coords 0,0,0)
And that was outside of the maps hull resulting a leak. So try check if you have entities without a orgin.
strange thing guys… here is what i did and what happened.:
Thank GOd i had and older version of my map with only 1/3 of the spline path planted ;;;
I removed them all, and the cotrol splines. Then i removed the tank with all its stuff and…
THE PROBLEM WAS GONE… i realized the problem was somewhere there…
so i have some questions:
—> How i understand where to plot cotrol splines? please tell me…
—> For those who know: where i can get a clear info how to make a tank to go from point A to pont B and there to destroy a wall? Is the Goldrush .map file the source of those mappers who make a tank ? Please tell me…
so ? anyone ? how did you make TANKS? do u use the example GOLDRUSH MAP???
what i did:

I looked at the goldrush tank

Once sure, i started making the entities needed

One all it fine and clipped, modle in etc… i copy the goldrush script over

I edit it to make it work for my map, all the splines, runs, smoke, damage etc…
sometimes you can use fueldump, there are a few bugs with the attach to tags with goldrush
the end, its a mini adventure

hm, damn i thought it was harder, but i am still afraid to use it, because the same leak may appear…?
let me ask for last time: Control Splines : for what do we use them? WHen the tank is going to make what? going up a hill or going down, or going right, left; when?
