On occasion, the tank will become damaged and remain unrepairable. It looks and sounds like it’s still fixed, except that it has no health. This can happen on any map with a tank, but I’m not sure how to recreate it. I’ve seen it happen too many times to count, and mostly on Shrub servers. (Not sure if it happens on ETPro or ETPub)
If you wait long enough it will finally announce “They’ve damaged the tank!” and it will be normal again. I’ve found a workaround that helps, but I want to know if there’s a fix that can prevent it altogether.
The workaround is to /rcon g_moverscale 100, then put it back to normal. From this it seems that the tank hasn’t reached it’s next target yet, so it wont be damaged, but the game has already decided to stop it (or slow it down a lot?).
Before I dig deep into this, I want to know if anyone has already found and corrected this bug, and what you did to do it.
