I have been looking for this information for a while now. I have been extremely interested in the game, but do not want to have to upgrade just to play it. If anyone has an idea of the recommended cpu/gpu/ram etc… If not, I’ll keep waiting /rolls_eyes
System Requirements?
What kinda answer is that…
I also would like to know what tits asked.
Would be sweet when SD would answer this cause i have a crappy old graphics card.
WolfET rund smooth tho and the gameplay is great…
nevertheless i wont probably be able to run it since most game companies are aiming at “good looking stuff” instead of gameplay…
bla bla…

like I say, try back in couple months. It’s still too early for system specs, they are still making the game. The best I found was in a German article I translated (please don’t make me find the article) where it said:
"The game should run well on older computers. A high-end computer is therefore not expected to be necessary to be Brink can play.”
I mean, they are using a modified idtech4 engine.
Ha! I love “Anchorman”! I love lamp!
Anyway, I would assume you’d at least need a dual core and a decent graphics card; probably a gig of RAM, too. That’s been pretty much par for the course for a while now.
!
Well, you need a gig RAM just to run your OS anyway
And when your PC can run wolfet “fine” then it will prolly suck for Brink

What are the minimum system requirements of the PC version?
“We’ll” announce the system requirements for BRINK closer to release.

Just keep checking the Steam page.
I’m sure it will be updated as soon as system specs are released.
If you knew what you had you would know better than to ask. So I assume if you’re worried about it then it’s likely you’ll have to upgrade. The smart thing to do would be to upgrade once you have a copy of the game. Upgrading now would have no benefit and the components will only improve and drop in price.
I think if you want to do any honest gaming on your PC you’ll want to spend $150 on a gfx card in the last year and have 4gig of ram (quad core CPU would be nice but I seem to be okay on a dual and this is a PC game not a sloppy 3 core 360 port).
You might get by on less but I currently keep the above as a rule of thumb and use detail levels to tweak performance around that. Ends up being a nice, cheap but capable PC setup without playing at fugly and laggy levels.
most newer games require a dual core, 2 gig ram and a 9800 as MINIMUM, recommended is good dual core, 4 gig and a 250, Brink might run on less, but nothing else will
so I can run the game on very very low graphics and get good fps without buyin a new pc.
Nail is right though, how much you can tweak the game has no influence on the system requirements. You might be able to make it more fluent, but system requirements are just what it says on the tin, the system you need to run the game.
