System Requirements. Your best guess?

(Antharax) #1

I know this is nearly impossible to determine from the videos, the current NDA and the fact that the game is in Alpha(or is it beta already?) and any needed optimizations are going to be done eventually. Nevertheless, what are your guesses about the system requirements on Dirty bombs?

Can be a simply age of PC, hopefully on my 5 year old behemoth of a PC that kicked PlanetSide 2 in the arse with no stutters during Beta(Final product is another story… I hate you Planetside 2…). It wasn’t the best system ever in it’s time , but I’m proud of it.

Or just a list of Hardware that you think would be the minimum for the game.

Get Dirty or you’ll Bomb. Get it? Get it? GET IT? Screw you.

Edit: Forgot my guess. 5 years.

Edit 2: … Ruben please don’t tell me it was in the trailer and I missed it like an idiot. Actually do tell me that. Bruce Willis Jig standing by.

Recommended Specs:
OS: Windows 7
GFX: 512MB - GTX 460 / HD 6850 or better
RAM: 3GB RAM
CPU: 2.0GHz Quad Core or better

Minimum Specs:
OS: Windows XP, Vista or 7
GFX: 256MB - 7900 GTX / X1800 XT or better
RAM: 2GB RAM
CPU: 2.0 GHz Dual Core or better

My guess. It was hard to determine. I had to watch the trailer 23 times.

Or you just pulled them from the Dirtybomb FAQ https://secure.warchest.com/dirtybomb/faq

It should be noted that those specs are for the Alpha/Beta and SD plans to optimise during development so they should hopefully decrease.

Holy. Damn. Yes. I’m sorry I didn’t pay attention to the FAQ, I tried searching for anything in the main site but I found it a bit hard to navigate. I guess getting used to something as arse as Reactor has changed me.

Well, on paper they seem to be pretty low for current standards… :stroggtapir:

I’d agree  The minimum are very wide-reaching, and even the recommended isn’t too high - further optimisation will mean that a lot of people will breeze through it without problems. Good stuff
