Switching to secondary, pressing Mouse1: But instead firing, it goes back to primary!

Hi!

I have a strange weapon bug, occasionally. Steps to reproduce/this is what happens:

  1. I am in a 1 vs 1 duel or similar, using my primary weapon, spraying bullets.
  2. Running out of bullets but enemy still alive.
  3. I hit “2”, to switch to my pistol.
  4. I click Mouse1 to fire a shot.
  5. But instead of the pistol firing, it reverts back to the primary weapon!
  6. I click Mouse1 again, and it switches to pistol.
  7. I continue to click Mouse1 but all I get is a repeat of steps 4-6.

Not one single shot is fired during steps 4-6. Instead the two weapons are switched back and forth.

Perplexing. I have tried to note the specific circumstances when this happens, but I have not yet found a pattern or a cause.

Any change its your mouse wheel up/down and mouse3 binds? I changed mine because the defaults of next weapon prev weapon were doing that to me or a while

But how can it switch (alternate) between primary and secondary when I just press Mouse1? That’s the perplexing part.

This happens for me if i double click instantly after changing weapons, does it matter how long before you press mouse1? (wondering if the two problems are related)

Older than time itself but yeah it happens to me a lot
