sv_setbrushmodel = hopeless

(nikita) #1

I am aware of this error and what may cause it to apear, however i have no idea how to fix, am trapped in a posotion where i got over 2000 entities, i checked them all with radient and NOTEPAD (using the .map file)
{No broken origin point or deleted brushes found}
all seems to be in order, however the error keep apearing, i got no backup of the .map file, and i really must find a way to fix it… is there a way wich i havent tryed yet maybe?

Thanks in advance

One way is to temporarily split the map. To do this fast, use the Region functions in GTKRadiant. You can then go to File -> Save region and test if that part is bad. (Beware though! You may accidentally overwrite your original map, so do make sure to make a backup of your complete map outside the maps folder!)

If I’m not mistaken, it should rather complain about the brushmodel than the lack of a player spawnpoint. (If not, add one.)

not possable for most of the entites are connected to each other all over the map (am using a tank so… ) :smiley:

Solved = New problem
i hed a func_group of 100 torches, probebly deleted 1 of the brushes,
so i hed to delete the entire group and now a lot of torches got deleted, any other way to find out without delete all?

Copying it into another map, and do split it? Whilst this may mess up linked entities, groups shouldn’t have a problem, I guess.

By splitting it in half, you can save yourself the time to go over all of them.
