Suspect Event Cases, any merc or weekly mercs?

(Twoiko) #1

EDIT: I found this on the minisite:
SUSPECT EVENT CASES
The holy grail of cases, these blue beauties guarantee a Suspect Loadout Card for one of the four Mercs in free rotation. Get them in match drops (improving your chances with Boosters), or in Suspect Elite Case Bundles.
So it seems that bundles and random/boosted drops are weekly cases.

So, what happens on week 5? Is there going to be a week 5 Event case or will random/booster case drops be one of the first 4 weeks’ cases?

If someone from SD/Nexon could answer that would be great, I doubt anyone else would know at this point.

OLD POST:
As the title says, it’s not very clear if the Event cases (100% chance to get Suspect skin) are only weekly ones, that is, only for the 4 mercs on rotation, like the Weekly Suspect Equipment Cases (1% chance to get Suspect skin), or just for any merc like previous events?

Does this also include Event cases from boosters? I think the ones from Elite case packs are, never bought any so I can’t confirm.

They’re weekly, so for this week the Event case will have only Proxy, Sawbonez, Arty and Nader Event skins in them.

Read the case description.

It’s only the 4 suspects of the week…

Elite cases in the in game store are marked by week just like the equipment cases you can purchase.

Week 5…I think they said all cases will be available but I can very well be wrong about this part.

I don’t have one of the cases, I can’t read the description. I suppose when you click on the “?” for the booster it does call them “weekly” event cases, but I just wanted to make sure.

Anyhow, I found this on the minisite:

So I still wonder, what happens on week 5? Do we have a chance to drop any one of the earlier event cases or are we getting a week 5 event case?

Week 5 will let you buy cases for week 1 through 4 with cycles.

(Twoiko) #7

Yeah I know, this only applies to the 1% Equipment Cases though, not 100% Event Cases.

@Twoiko_cc weird that there’s no official explanation, my guess is that week 5 will have it’s own case drop consisting of the most used Mercs of week 1-4 as it’s own drop series, while the obvious ability to buy cases is to just what cycles one has left since after the even they’re replaced with credits on a 1=1 exchange.

We’ll just have to wait and see.

Come on, guys. It’s very clear that it drops “a Suspect Loadout Card for one of the four Mercs in free rotation.”
And I think the event cases also have a weekly label, but someone who got a drop has to confirm this, which would mean if you opened a week 1 case in week 2, or after the event, it would still drop the mercs from week 1.

Never thought of it this way, thanks for the response.

@Twoiko_cc it’s a bit overlooked but if you look at the bottom of the case the cases of this week there’s a number 1 confirming that each week has it’s own case series.

Still there wasn’t a clear explanation that week 5 has it’s own case series in my opinion, just that cases of week 1-4 are buyable and that it’s own case would be the Culprit one.
