Surface Models on terrain

i went searching here and Q3W but couldn’t find info on how to implement this. Also had a look through the online q3map2 manual.

Just the terrain thing where you can spawn map models over it.

There a link?
or a quick explanation as to what needs to be done?

I broke surfacemodels when I rewrote the model handling code. Never bothered to latch it back up. Wouldn’t be that hard, I suppose.

would it be likely to come back in? :slight_smile:

I noticed it used in a ET map.
Was that an internal release of q3map2? (or some other technique)

Well… what version did have that functionality?
(I’ve quiet a few version laying about!)

i guess this changed to q3map_foliage

It must be in the Spog Branch Q3map2, then :frowning:

But ydnar will hook us up soon enough, probably when the next release for GTKRadiant comes out we will get Enemy Territory stuff in the general Q3Map2 or something …
