Super Powered Bullets?

I’m aware of an armor buff peripherally, and that’s what I was referring to. Since I can’t prove it, why would I be specific?

As for armor perks, that’s a buff to the armor you give out, since if there’s one thing I’m 99% sure of, it’s that it’s not a universal perk. In fact, I believe that’s the reason that the fellow I heard mentioning it determined that Flak Jackets were in, was because of the bonus in the Ready and Able video, which didn’t show the Universal perks. Only the class perks.
Rubbish. If you headshot in BC2 with any weapon you’ll kill them in just one burst. Same will go for Brink in terms of if you are accurate enough it doesn’t matter about buffs. Buffs only come into play when firing quickly without aiming such as accidentally at the legs/torso.

I don’t use magnum ammo in BC2 and there’s heaps of times I’ve one bullet killed from across the other side of the map (several hundred metres away) with nothing but the red dot scope. My aim/lag’s usually too crap to pull it off often but it does happen
Ya, Lyndol’s right. A good accurate burst from any distance to the head will drop them with 2-3 bullets. I can usually pull it off with the 9a91 or the pkm.

BC2 is just too slows to be any hard if you play with a decent squad, I didnt play that much hours but once you know the flanking routes, its a piece of cake to kill many enemies with one burst in the head, especialy since they dont expect you there so their cover is not that huge.

PIECE OF CAKE I TELL YA!

I wasn’t talking about headshots. I dont mind with headshots im talking about body/limb shots. Killed in 2 bulets to the body/limbs (or thats what it feels like) annoys the hell out of me. I mean today for example I was getting killed by magnum ammo really quickly a lot. So i stuck magnum ammo on myself. Went into a building with the M-COM station cut down 4 guys, 2 of them were shooting me planted the bomb killed another 3 guys who came in trying to disarm it. This never would of happened without magnum ammo and to me that seems unbalanced and unfair.

I was concerned something like this was in Brink that would allow single players to demolish 4 guys at a time. But after the comments I’ve had and finally seeing footage of PAX 2011. Im not worried anymore.

ahhh,. the biggest culpurt for that sort of issue (i’ve experienced it) is cross fires. i didn’t really notice how often that happens till some homos were hanging out with me on our mumble, and he squalled… ‘omg, i just diedzors from insta bullets’ but i was near behind him and noticed a sniper shot then immediately a clean up shot.

but the reason why that happens is the gayest thing in the world… ‘3D spotting’… that system sucks because someone from one flank sees you, spots you, his boyfriend on another flank sees you and takes you out for salad. … very lame…

which is why i wish they can make pub games without any radar at all… why can’t we just take out all the assist in using you’re scanning and eyeballs…

opps. almost went to another rant… but it probably was crossfire

Engineers can definitely toss out armor vests, but Soldiers can toss out armor-piercing rounds

(Exedore) #27

Slight correction: only Soldiers can use AP rounds.

(tokamak) #28

Right so soldiers still have an edge when it comes to damage output (for all bodytypes)?

(Exedore) #29

Only if the opponents are armoured, and they have bought that ability. If not, it’s a waste of a point.

(DouglasDanger) #30

Hm. This is interesting.

(Mr. Magikarp) #31

Indeed. I think I like this kind of approach to abilities; very useful when the situation calls for it, but generally useless otherwise. It should help deter any “optimal builds,” I think.
