I disagree, bugs have never bothered me nor did it ruin my game experience. Playing on same 6 maps over and over and over THAT is wat is ruining my joy i got out of this game. I understand that it takes a lot off time to make a good map, but seriously proper content updates(not reskin events with a rare chance of actually getting it) are so rare i could make a world trip on foot, and then when i come home i would still find dirty bomb in the exact state as before i left. I know you dont like it, but seriously ask the communly to help with new maps, you have a friendly playerbase with people that dont mind helping you guys out.

August Fine Tuning for

Proper weapon balance like buffing MK.46.

Proper merc balace like buffing Bush and nerfing Thunder’s conc CD to at least 20 sec. Especially do something with Proxy’s mine spam.

Please. I can still wait for new contents like Dockyard if the basic balance is fixed anytime soon beforw anything fresh comes up.

Great news all round.

Only one question from me; do we have any further info on the Weapon Kits being used for crafting?

I’ve done all my dusting already and have been sat on a load of Fragments in the hopes that more info on how to obtain Weapon Kits would be released. I just want to go for getting my cards in the almighty Swiss Red but would rather my chances are down to 1 in 3 (if I’m not fussy about the specific loadout card). As far as I’m aware the only way to obtain them is through Arsenal Crates and it requires an obscene amount to pick a weapon of choice currently and I have a whopping ZERO in my possession right now sob

I agree that fixing bugs and making performance better is something that needs to take top priority. I know several people who used to get like 200+ frames when playing the game and now only get 30-60 frames. I also know many people who only get 20 frames (myself included till i got a new computer). So this is something that desperately needs to be fixed :slight_smile: I hope that they will be able to fix a majority of peoples performance issues because it is really starting to make people not enjoy playing the game, and thus leaving the game.

in terms of crafting thank you for giving us a warning a month or so in advance. I view the event of lowering crafting costs and increasing recycling yields is kind of a decent way to make it up to people (more or less, depending on person).

finally no 1 hour credit boosters from leveling up! and the other awful “rewards” are removed too, that makes me so happy :3 It is incredibly frustrating to work so hard to level up and then get 5 cases or a 1 hour credit booster. weapon kits are still a bit too rare for my liking but maybe that will change soon. by the way when will these things be removed? like whats the ballpark for removing them?

the change of booster prices is welcomed, i know most people don’t buy them and never will but for those who do i think this is a good change. I think most people who would consider buying one either want them to… play comp, buy a new merc faster, use them on double/triple credit weeks/weekends or just to support the developers without breaking the bank.

thank you for letting execution mode rest for awhile. To be honest i know very few people who actually enjoy that mode, or play it without missions. Most people play dirty bomb for objective or stopwatch mode, and i know many people felt a bit short changed that gallery came out first and not dockyard.

some side notes: yay! no more killer paper! never before did i think i would say that sentence and actually mean it. i think that recycling yields should be increased even just by as little as 5 points added to each recycling value. currently the new system feels much more grindy than the old one and raising the yields of cards could really help. that’s just how it feels, it may be the same costs or even cheaper but it feels worse than the old system to many players. or another way to fix it would be to decrease the credit costs, i mean 50k for a card!? you can buy mercs for less money. as for what to do after you fix the performance issues, bugs, etc. you could in the future have a similar event to the containment war, where you release dockyard and turtle at once, and have cool skins like the CW event. (may be a bad idea, i just thought i would voice it).

and the biggest thing of all… CONTINUE TO LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY :smiley: people did/still continue to feel like they aren’t being listened to, keep listening and gain the communities faith again. Show us that you are listening and not ignoring us. People have been quieting the game because they feel things are not getting better and that developers were not listening to the community, this is open beta after all, your community is your greatest asset and your players can tell you what they want/need. You have a big task to gain people’s trust again but you can do it. keep listening, keep communicating, and keep your priorities focused :smiley:

Oh my. You really listened to the forums this time. 18 hour credit booster is so CHEAP but I wont buy it because I dont need credits :wink:

I really thank you for those changes, I really hope that I would get some weapon kits in those cases :smiley:

I agree on balancing mercs and weapons but I think Thunder’s cooldown should stay as it is now but instead bring back EMP effect and change the concussion so if you look away from the grenade the concussion effect is lowered

For Proxy, just make unarmed mines (and maybe EMP’d mines too) do only 50% damage

Let’s hope they do something about it

Smooth kindly informed people about how the base credit gain works on Reddit. I’m gonna post this info here and my own comment on the info so that nobody misses out:

8-9 players = base rate of 10/min (-2)
6-7 players = base rate of 8/min (-4)
4-5 players = base rate of 6/min (-6)
2-3 players = base rate of 4/min (-8)
1 player = base rate of 2/min (-10)

There’s also a ‘Team Imbalance’ to try and get players to swap to the smaller team. The penalty for the larger team there is:

A team with +2 players gets 11/min (-1)
A team with +3 players gets 10/min (-2)
A team with +4 players gets 9/min (-3)
A team with +5 players (or more) gets 8/min (-4)[/quote]

Taking these numbers into account we’re looking at:

3h booster gives an average gain of 3554 credits per dollar, assuming a server of 10+ players with the same number of players on both teams.
6h is 3769 c/$.
12h is 4511 c/$.
18h is 4828 c/$.
Then multiply these by 2 for gain in ranked.
Compare these to the 5005 c/$ of buying Mercs, the 6258 c/$ of a 10-pack of Crafting Kits and the ~8000-11000 c/$ of buying Expert/Elite Cases.
So in essence boosters are bad value outside of ranked, but great value in ranked. Considering the wasteland that ranked currently is boosters seem pretty bad right now.

Honestly, I’d rather see ranked scaling additively instead of multiplicatively and the value of boosters significantly increased, because otherwise there’s gonna be a huge discrepancy in the value of boosters. I’d rather have them be consistently good than very good in ranked, but crap outside of that (especially since ranked is a wasteland right now).
A pricing of 0.49$, 0.89$, 1.69$ and 2.39$ would result in 5731, 6310, 6646 and 7049 credits per dollar; Slightly above most other purchasable items due to the delayed nature of the purchase. Still worse than buying Elite or Expert cases though.

So, instead of adding weapon kits to the store, you are reducing costs for a week? TBH, you wasted time, building system to choose primary weapon when nobody can do that… It’s impossible to get 45 WK when arsenal crates are dropping once per week(for me it’s even once per month!)

I’ve literally only got two problems with this. Everything else sounds great, except for two minor issues. Weapon Kits NEED to be given, they’re just IMPOSSIBLE to get enough of even with the event coming up. I hope that you all think about possibly giving weapon kits GUARANTEED 50+ through the event. Because right now, I’ve got 57k fragments and I’m waiting for Weapon kits. I better stinking get me some weapon kits.

And the second issue, It’s not simply that the crafting system was a failure because of miscommunication, it’s a failure because it’s just too expensive, and it devalues PROGRESSION.

Thanks for the other info though, I’m glad for some transparency. Will there be an update prior to August 25th telling us how many weapon kits, etc. and other items will be in those cases for logging in and playing every day?

I never even thought about that. It might be a bad idea though, because some people would find a way to make something cheaper and then basically grind in game content.
