Suggestions

Hi,

i have some suggestions I would like to share and see the reactions…

  1. I miss voicechat. As a regular Wolf ET Player I miss voicechat. You decided not to have it bec of VoiP-Chat?

Reasons I would like to have it:
I dont have any friends to play with and like to chat.
I dont like sombody unknown to tell me what to do.
I like the atmosphere of the recorded voices that fit into the game (Like the german parts in W:ET are still awesome. “Fire in the hole” and “the enemy is weakened” are all time classics).
I needed ammo several times, but i couldnt tell anybody in a fast and convenient way. I jumped in front of some soldiers and even typed it, but they didnt get it (for geeks: v22). So i went kamikaze (No soldier bots involved. They tend to give ammo, if you go near them).

Reasons against:
I can use the wheel to choose an obj and my avatar will autotell my team, so its somekind of voicechat.
My Character tells automatcally im low on ammo (for example). But what if Im not near a soldier at that moment. Nobody will start to search after a player with low ammo.
We have VoiP and thats much more like 2011.

I think chances are 0 you will implement it but i really hoped for it. Even QW had it…

  1. I wish i could turn of the movement when I choose an obj from the wheel. I know its convenient for the start and beginners but after you played the map for 2-3 times you usually know where to go and i just want to tell my team after respawn where i go and end up hitting walls near spawn while i try to get back to the obj as fast as possible…

  2. Maybe you could publish a list with commented commands for an autoexec.cfg.

  3. Plz fix the sound bug and the invisible enemys. I know you are working on it.

Regards
Wildes

PS.: Flame me to death if you like

oh god i totally agree with the voicechat need.

or maybe even a system with a universal button like bad company 2. hit universal button over soldier alerts him and marks you on radar that you need ammo.

:-/ i dont really see people chat in this game at all either. lack of chatter is weird.

btw i love wolfET

Thx… Glad not to be alone. In Wolf:ET you can motivate (Let´s go!), Command (Defend the Obj.), and warn (Incoming!) your teammates in an instant. Dont forget a bit of taunting and commenting (Great Shot!) of the enemy. No need to go on xfire/VoiP for that.

So everything gamerelated is covered and it makes the experience much greater and supports the holy grail - the teamplay!

There’s a whole thread for your suggestions here:

  1. You can, dont have the cvar with me right now, i’ll get back to you.
  2. “listcmds” on the console?

EDIT:
2) No cvar needed. go to options -> gameplay -> objective wheel auto look

stealth6: thx. didnt see it before.
McAfee: 2) thx. appreciated. 3) wasnt aware of that, but besides shadow and obvious stuff, there are lots of things that could need a short comment on what they change, when you should or the results you get…

Not at launch. It was first implemented later, after demands from the community.

Thx lakers… didnt know that. Now i´m really looking forward to it.

+1 for premade radio-commands.

Problem is, to implement them, you need voice acting = more money. So I am not sure we will see them implemented soon… especially with different sets of voice w/accents…

But I foundly remembers of WolfET radio command exchanges :

> “Nice Shot !”

> “No”
> “The Enemy is weakened !”
