Suggestions for DLC

(Sind) #1

Here are some few suggestions I would like to see in the next DLC for Brink:

  1. Longer Maps: Make some new maps that are longer than the current ones and require more objectives to be done so that there is more gameplay action.

  2. More Weapons: Yeah, could add some famous old-time weapons like: AK-47, M4 Cabrine, and Desert Eagle. Not all weapons have to be imaginary right?

  3. More Challenges: I was disappointed when I saw only 4 challenges, and I completed all of them on all 3 difficulties under two hours. So I would like more challenges, and of course, creative ones.

  4. A Parkour map: An open map with no time limit and no shooting, the goal is to show-off and practice some parkour skills on cool parkour spots with your friends. Container City is nice, but just remove time limit, objectives, and factions so everyone can have some parkour freerunning fun.

I’m not saying all this is possible, so don’t make it if it’s really impossible. It’s just my suggestion for the DLC, and I can wait for it…

You may also post your suggestions on this thread. Thanks.

The first MW had one challenge, the second one had 18, I wouldn’t worry about that. There’s lots of fun things you can do with challenges, got a few written down.

I would like at least two more big maps (Ark architecture if possible because it is SO phenomenally beautiful).

One short map, for skirmishes, and mastery of gameplay fundamentals - it would be like a Challenge map for Teams.

Another Parkour Challenge map.

Then, if they have the resources to give us the following, that would be gravy: a couple appearance goodies, one or two new weapons, and a new ability or two (if they have some that are tested to be fun and balanced).

1.) I’m glad the maps are small because you respawn at a certain spot and I do not want to have to spend my whole time running instead of playing the game. That would suck.

2.) The Sea Eagle is modeled upon the desert eagle so that would just be silly. Games do have to pay royalties to gun companies to use their names. That’s why you see racing games that have made up car names. So the guns in the game are based on real life guns. Find the brink wiki and you’d know which guns they are.

3.) The challenges aren’t for your entertainment. They are for you to learn key parts of gameplay. So you can practice before playing with others so you don’t frustrate people by being the worst teammate ever. They aren’t supposed to be creative. They are supposed to teach you game mechanics. Which they do well.

4.) Set the game to private and customize the settings so that no one else is in the game with you and do whatever you want. Problem solved. Ignore the objectives. If you need to complete an objective to move into a certain part of the map then do that.

In closing I was hoping I’d see some creative suggestions but these were all counter productive.

I just want to see more maps and more objectives. And more abilities. I’m sure it’s a given that there’s more costumes and weapons.

Splash Damage one thing you could do that would be super simple is just double the amount of color variations all the costumes get in addition to adding new pieces. People would eat that up.

1.) There are checkpoint spots, after you complete 1-2 Objectives, you start at THAT position where those completed objectives are.

2.) Not just the Desert Eagle…but many other weapons, those were just examples

3.) Okay, I can hardly agree you on that, but hardly…

4.) You are totally right about that one, didn’t know there was something as ‘CUSTOM OPTIONS’ Silly me…Thanks

A gun range.

I would love to be able to mod my weapons, fire them at targets and see how they respond. Right now the only thing I’m seeing is a bar moving, but it would be cool to be able to grab a gun off the rack, walk to a bench and tweak it and then see exactly how much faster the gun deploys with a speed sling or how much more stable the barrel venting really is.

Messing with guns is a very fun part of this game, but the feedback on the customization is frustratingly slow at the moment. (Mod weapon, load a challenge map, shoot at bots, exit map, mod weapon again. Repeat for each gun you wish to experiment with)

That’s actually an interesting idea.

That’s a neat idea, I like it.

As for me, I’d like some more clothing options for both security and resistance(obviously) But I’d also like to be able to pick colors and designs as well, instead of having it chosen for me. I feel like everyone has a similar getup.
