*SUGGESTION* Why playing as a medic sucks.

Support xp is actually the easiest way to get xp. Medics almost always topscore and get the most xp (especially Aura). Combat xp is the hardest to get (This is why combat xp missions are the worst, well except Execution ones), only difference is that any class can earn combat xp while support xp is almost impossible to earn unless you are a medic or fire support. If anything, you should get more combat xp, like 1.5x damage done instead of 1x

You think its bad, you should have seen how much xp a friendly(dead) aura got just by me defending the first objective undergroud.

I was a Thunder and died do to no more ammo left.

@FrostyVampire Combat XP is easy to get. It’s Objective XP that’s the hardest; there are just those games that someone else always gets the plant/repair before you can.

Combat vs objective xp depends a lot on who you are and what you play. If you are good at the shooting side, it isn’t that hard to rack up a lot of combat xp, but a less skilled player will have a very hard time getting significant amounts of combat xp.

Objective xp tends to be somewhat map dependent. Execution gives you smallish but guaranteed amounts of objective xp if you win, defending gives you similar amounts of objective xp if you hold them off for a while, and ev maps can give a lot of objective xp on either side (ev escort xp matches the long defense xp, and if you do get the repair/ev kill, you can earn a lot more). However, if you are attacking on something like trainyard or underground, you can easily end up with almost no objective xp because someone else got to the bomb site before you.

I’d sort of like to see a team wide 500 or 1k objective xp tick for a successful c4 explosion or objective turn in.

I once had like a 10k point game with Fletcher, but it was one of those weird games on Chapel where you do everything: Repair EV, escort it like 95% of the way to the Elevator (I think there was a Proxy with me so the EV was moving faster than normal since it was Escort x 2) and then I ran with the freakin’ Thermos to plant one at the Building straightaway.

I don’t know what anyone else was doing… I actually looked up on the screen to double check that there were others playing.

Then the enemy suddenly woke up. Then my glory run ended. Can’t recall whether we won but it was definitely a high scoring game.

I find support exp the easiest to get by far. If I wanted to top the score board I’d go straight for a medic. Objective exp can be very situational at times.

Support was easiest to get even back when there Life Insurance wasn’t a thing (which was the case when OP posted here).

…or your team doesn’t defend your C4 but then they decide to defend it when somebody else arms it… or nobody feels like protecting you when you’re disarming/ delivering T_T
Also if you’re playing Skyhammer in Bridge/ Chapel and Arty drops down both arties just before your airstrike comes.
