suggestion: special edition trade in

So we all know it sucks to get a special edition card you don’t like for whatever reason. There’s nothing you can do with it since trading isn’t a thing yet.

What about “rerolling” it? Here’s my idea: this is something specifically for special edition cards. You only put in one card, but, it costs 30,000 or more credits and you do not get to pick which merc it will be. Potentially, you could also pay a small fee in real money if you do not wish to use credits or don’t have enough.

This would be a good idea but it means people could just reroll till they get the loadout they want. This would remove the “gamble” element from the game. I would say its fine how it is.

An alternative or addition to a high cost could be making rerolling an event that occurs every now and then. Maybe make it like free rotation where every week or 2 there’s certain mercs that can be rerolled. At least it gives ppl something to look forward to when SD doesnt have new content for eons at a time

@Tom well the community seems to hate that it’s a gamble and I can’t really disagree. I’d hate to get any special edition loadout that had pineapple juggler on it.

@AnonOmis1000 I don’t think it should be a feature that should always be around however I agree with @Loli_Gagging. Having it once a blue moon would be great.

I don’t think it’s a good idea and I know I’m gonna piss a lot of people off but listen.
Dirty bombs system is RNG based and always will, and since the drops are obviously also following this principle there should never ever be a chance of rerolling an event card (i don’t mind trading in cobalts and stuff because they are permanently in the game). I myself have plenty of christmas cards and some cw but only the minority of those cards is what really made the event worth it. It’s not about getting good cards it’s about the rarity and value even a bad card from that event has, specifically because they are limited in numbers.

long story short I know the pain I even have a duplicate Aura wtd card but the system is supposed to be the way it is now and it is fine the way it is and it would be perfect if trading came soon.

Well at least that’s my oppinion

Thing is, if you have a better bronze card woth the same primary, you can’t really enjoy the special edition one because why would you take a card that, for you, is worse than another one you have?
