[Suggestion] Server Browser Ping Filter

(CLARK KENT) #1

The only filters available for ping within the Server Browser are currently “Any”, “50ms”, “150ms” and “300ms”.

Currently, to see more servers, I would need to select 150ms, but, for my location, that includes a lot of Euro servers showing up on the list. North America is huge, and the latencies from the west coast to the east coast can be anywhere from 80ms to 110ms, depending on ISP routing, with the majority of servers being under 100ms.

May I suggest adding a “100ms” filter? Or even better the ability to make it variable?

I would like to see a simple sort by ping rather than needing a radial filter for it.

Nobody else on the coasts of North America think that a 100ms filter might help? Am I alone on this thought?

I’m not in the US, and all the servers I play on are 20 ping, but I definitely agree a <100 filter is a good idea.

Just set it to 150ms then click on the ping column to sort by ping

Why stop there then? Why not just have a 300 option and sort by ping to find servers under 150.

You can sort by server name, just put in “EU” if you’re from EU… etc etc.
