Suggestion: Remove Backpacks

The orange hue is because both teams share the same colors. The lack of class distinction is more unfortunate feature regression.

Tokomak if you and I agree on anything it’s that damn Orangie red hue crap, I hate it it’s absolutely horrid. But as far as the backpacks go, i understand that they fit the fiction somewhat bein engineers and medics and having supplies to carry around. But, there are a few points I would like to agree with on this plane; The packs to make the game look a little strange in some respects as well as make out hitboxes less accurate. Also, the jumping (off topic but mentioned earlier) I wish that I could jump like a normal human. I don’t want to float around like in Halo or grenade jump or anything silly but to be able to jump in the air and not see myself hit that weird space where your character jitters like he hit old jello and come back down to jar his knees cause he expected he’d go higher would be nice.

Litterally the bricks in the backpack analogy is spot on and I agree that both should go away.

P.S. when you aim at someone it tells you what class they are, or are we talking about scanning a field without a redicule and having the capability to recognize and develope a plan of attack that way?

Instead of removing them, why don’t they just fix them to do what they were originally supposed to do - class recognition.

SD could attach giant color-coded balloons to the backpacks with the class name in 40-foot-tall letters for all I care, as long as they also include the option to turn off the backpack visual locally.

Look @ Halo 2. You couldn’t see ANY weapon they were carrying at any moment and that was one of the IF NOT THE best MP game on XBL to date.

I’ve made this same topic over at Bethsoft’s Forums and everyone got butthurt.

I don’t even get the point of customization if everyone has the same backpack? I 300% agree with the Op.

Halo games may have been the most popular games on XBL, but definitely not the best. How did Halo even manage to pop up in this thread?

Lol halo is the best online basis for us console guys, it was origonal and fun. Games like CoD are all coockie cutter and bland, I don’t think his refference to halo was a bad move. Even if the overall point is misled for a game “about customization” everything from the HUD to the weapons and backpacks was left uncustom and that sucks a bit.
