Suggestion regarding weapons locked to the card

The only thing I hate about this game is the weapons locked to a card

wouldn’t it be more fun if allow a player to pick a weapon and change the skin of the said weapon (weapons can be bought from the item store or tradeable?)

People have been suggesting separating loadouts from the skins but although it seems to be a good idea, I don’t think it would earn SD as much money.

Depends on how they do it if they allow skins to be tradeable/marketable with steam they can earn money when players put them on the market

and allow players to buy skins

Stuff like this…Stealthed Sniper at range…Katana in melee…could be quite insane.

Plus other mercs have restrictions for similar reasons…you could Skyhammer nuking stuff while being a unlimited ammo sniper…Rhino a heavy sniper who would excel at long and close range…Thunder with a PDP or Moa shooting fish in a barrel.

No one would use pistols when they could use machine pistols. Why use a knife when you can use a katana?

Stuff like that…

Though I do wish they could give some more options…I always wanted to play Fragger with a MK46…maybe Thunder with a K-121.

Pistols are much more effective at long range (I’m certain some find that appealing)

Well yeah…Pistols can be good…but the masses would use MP’s…trouble is with guns like the Revolvers and the Deagle is people spam them then say they suck…why a pistol like the M9 is generally considered the best pistol.

If nothing else most people are going to run around with a Katana for the cool factor.

Even if not for the right reasons…I still think most people would use machine pistols or katanas…

My point is what the OP is asking for is more customization when in reality it would mean less diversity because people would just take the best weapons…the whole weapon system would need a complete overhaul to prevent this.

I actually like the current loadout system (minus the cosmetics attached to it).

If each weapon slot/augment slot was customisable, then sooner or later, somebody would come up with OP combo. Unless each weapon and augment had restrictive “point” system.

Also, considering the fact this is a merc based game, merc should only be restricted to their allowed weapons and augments.

i even have the mod for Fallout New Vegas so i can play Post Apocalyptic Cowboy

maybe we can add this for Bushwhacker long range secondary

Arhnuld shottie already has a cool looking flipping animation (could we have one for revolvers please?), matter of exporting it to another gun.
