SUGGESTION: Operative Disguise Crosshair

(adrian783) #1

When disguised as an operative, you lose the center crosshair. This is slightly annoying as you can still spot mines and players while disguised, but now you have no crosshair to accurately aim your sight on them.

I propose adding a dot in the middle of the screen when disguised.

Currently an Operative disguising does not require a supply pip. If you want to do two things at once then I propose that disguising should require a supply pip in return. Besides, you get 125 experience for disguising, you should not be able to get more at the same time.

Glyph, you don’t understand. All he wants is that a dot appears where the crosshair is. It would allow for easier marking of mines and players. You wouldn’t be able to do anything that you wouldn’t be able to do already.

I agree with OP.

Whioops, my bad. I read it as being able to look around and marking targets while disguising. Again, my mistake.

Regarding that notion I would agree. Even adding the turret’s subtle crosshair would be better than nothing.

While I’m not terribly bothered by the lack of a cross-hair, I see the OP’s point and agree with him. I’d like to add a request for you extremities to be visible again because it just looks weird to do smart moves without them.

Actually, I really wish that I could look around, or at least up! while disguising.

I can never see if someone’s coming so he/she will always get he jump on me. Even if you can’t look around, you should be able to at least look up and maybe 15-20 degrees to either side of the direction your facing.

Also, wtf is up with the shaking when comm hacking or disguising? It’s annoying.

I also agree with the crosshair that something should be there. Sometimes i could swear I’m on something and it takes me a few seconds to have to descope, and rescope a few times to get it right. Precious seconds that could save a team. And it also doesn’t make much sense to have the arms missing… BUT, i think they did that so you know that you’re disguised, because when you come out of it, your arms are back. Maybe have a different kind of indicator, like a slight gradient of color around the screen or something… maybe not.

bump, i really like to see this happen =/

(Overgear) #8

I agree with this. Annoying to be zoomed in moving the mouse around to get a lock on the mine.
And losing your limbs while disguised is really wierd. It helps you tell if you are disguised but you get used to seeing hands.

(trigg3r) #9

I agree, it gets annoying sometimes when i try to spot mines or use the homing beacon ability while in disguise

(adrian783) #10

bump, dont this should be an easy thing to do right?

(crackedgear) #11

I’m all in favor of this.

(legend123) #12

I agree.

Additionally it should be like in W:ET you can still see and carry the weapon.
with a crosshair it would much more useful.

You can see what weapon you have equiped by looking at the selected weapon on the HUD. I’m OK with knowing I’m disguised because there’s no weapon, but the crosshair thing would be super useful. You can get past it by using a sharpie to put a dot on your monitor but who wants to do that when a small crosshair would do fine.

It’s not a major issue but it’s a “nice to have” if they have time to slip it into a patch. I don’t see this changing balance at all.

(Jonkonaut) #14

I agree, its really annoying to mark on 360 it takes a very steady aim for too long, perhaps that this could balance it out

(aignetti) #15

agree … its annoying without ch

(Darrus Dreadtiger) #16

I’m with OP.

Not only is it time consuming to align the sight on enemy mines, but it’s also pretty suspicious to stand somewhere and fidget around in one direction :I

Agree! 100%
