Suggestion: Mix up merc rotation

It is always going to be a ‘fest’ of some kind when everyone is playing the same mercs. This weekend it is a nade fest.

It is a “mix up” Many people love proxy because her mines, many want to try Sparks and Nader is tons of fun, last rotation everyone was complaining about Vasilli and Rhinos in the rotation, so you’ll just have to live with that and adapt to how someone else uses these mercs via s crash course so to speak.

I feel like time will fix this more than anything. For those of us who have been playing a bit longer, we have plenty of other mercs already unlocked. Right now, the game is still fresh - as players settle in and unlock their own mercs, there’ll be more options than relying on each fortnight’s rotation mercs.

Other than that, what exactly is the alternative here? Expanding the free rotation from 2 to 3 already helped “dilute” the new/free player merc pool. Personally, I think it’s fine as it is.

Maybe this rotation will teach a few people about avoiding martyrdom in pubs. :smile:

I already got Proxy and Nader, so I will strictly be testing Sparks the coming days.

I think OP means that everyone should get there own personal rotation. That was suggested before and I like the idea.
Only problem is that everyone wants to test out the new merc asap. But let’s say we get the new merc 2 weeks after release and everyone gets 2 free mercs semi random which would reduce the possible class spam to the new merc Merc while creating overall more diverse Merc compositions.

would be nice to be able to vote ingame for a merc, and 1 most wanted merc gonna take 1 slot in free rotation.

yes, please. mix it up a little. this “fest” op talks about is getting a bit tiresome. its also a reason why we get all the merc x is OP complaints because a merc will feel op when 80% are playing it.

Personalised rotation is a great idea, can’t believe I haven’t thought of that. Otherwise you’ll keep seeing stuff like this:

The ‘counter them’ argument didnt work here since my team was actually decent and def’d well until they all switch to nader, you really can’t do much to counter when you got 20nades flying everywhere.

Yes, to clarify my original post… a personalized rotation for everyone (thank you GI.am).

Personalized rotation, everyone has a different 1, 2 or 3 free merc rotation per two weeks(or whatever the frequency is going to be). This way we dont seem nade fests, armies of snipers, armies of rambo rhinos…

When a new merc comes out, everyone will want to try it out so theres no avoiding the influx of spam there.

I feel like the free rotation should have mercs that are really different from each other and don’t work well together. Cuz this week, there will be explosions everywhere from Nader and Proxy, and everytime you bring them down, a Sparks brings them back up. They just complement each other. I don’t think free rotation should allow that.
