[SUGGESTION] - Making the most out of the map pool

So I have only actually been playing since just before the CC guys got into the game so all I have seen are is the current 3 maps in rotation and the 2 maps I casted during the draft on the private server.

what I think would be cool for public servers is the ability to break up maps. Especially for TDM and Stopwatch.

Example,

Bridge & White Chapel are broken up into 4 main objectives (maybe 3 for bridge alt I cannot remember)

having the ability to start White Chapel on objective 1, 2 or 3 and do either 2 or 3 of the objectives would basically much extend the map pool.

So you could jump in a stopwatch game and just have to complete objectives

1 & 2
1 & 2 & 3
1 & 2 & 3 & 4
2 & 3
2 & 3 & 4
3 & 4

The same system could also work with TDM but down to even a single objective area.

I would love to see the full size trainyard back in the game… saw a cast on it and it looked epic!

I’d prefer to see Stopwatch and Objective as 2 separate game modes, with Obj featuring more objectives than SW, so that for a map with 4 objectives (for example) in Obj mode all 4 are completed but in SW only 3 & 4 need to be done (or 1 & 2 or 2 & 3 depending on what makes most sense).

TDM implies there are no objectives, although of course they could limit the play area to one or other of the objective stages from an Obj map, and maybe thereby make multiple TDM maps from a single Obj map.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Execution game mode with 1 objective though, as that which would make it a nice fit for CS players looking for a new game while still providing a new and unique twist on the concept (i.e. more than just “bomb” as the objective and with Medics that can revive to give team-mates more than one life per round).

Do like BF, make a large “rush mode” (aka OBJ mode) with a map lenght around 20 min each rounds in 8v8 with more obj like in the good old alpha days. Then take the best 2 or 3 obj in this map and make a “Squad rush” map (aka SW mode) for comp using only the best parts.

So you work on 1 big map for Obj mode and take only the best part for match and maybe sometimes with 1 “Obj mode map” you can make 2 “SW maps”
This for me the best solution.

Its kinda the thing I was talking about.
Due to the fact that I am new to the closed beta I have not played the current map pool bar the 3 stopwatch maps. I have however watched the casts of some matches and they are what got me onto this train of thought about splitting the maps. cause some of the alpha matches looked amazing! lol

No, thanks.

Someone just remake ETQW Meltdown and you have a good map.

The Maps are made in a way so that the games achieve an specific length in time. I prefere longer games (lesser loading screens, geting the right teamcomp together if needed, etc.), so taking out objectives is a nogo for me.
