If there’s thread like this here somewhere feel free to delete. Quitting lobby to open new crates only to find that five minutes later it’s full is silly. Make inventory accessible from lobby when in-between games, maybe even allow it when game is already going but you’re still on the lobby screen.
Suggestion : give access to inventory from the lobby

This has been requested a lot (I know myself, I have been hoping/pushing for this).
It turns out that the problem is all the store/inventory system is run technically off a different server that the game servers do not currently have access too. It has been said that its something they will look into but unlikely something we will see before launch/open beta if it does happen.
I think its more of a case that its a LOT of work for only a little gain in accessibility.
I suppose this could change if they fully embrace all the features of STEAM though as you can access your inventory via the steam overlay. However there is no guarantee that it would update instantly in the server and you may have to reconnect to use your new stuff if that is the case… we can hope though.
