Suggestion for the developers on the "Cases"

Now by no means am i calling the case system a ‘P2W’ System or a bad system at all, i just think its a terrible system for weapon unlocks. To be honest, i rather just spend money on guns in a store or unlock them through achievements then try to unlock them through a random system of trades. I think if you guys are going to use the case system, you mind as well model it off of Csgo.

Make the loadouts completely cosmetic and like in csgo, make the guns look really awesome and maybe even add in character “appearance” differences as-well to make it even more neat. You can even keep the same lead-gold system you have, making rarer guns seem more wanting in the community, just like the man o war or griffan m4 skin in csgo.

Some may complain that the devs need to make money somehow and this is the best way. Its not, its the worse way to make money, as a rather competitive fps gamer, this system is really really really bad for trying to play this game seriously. I really dislike having to “Get lucky” with this case system to try out new guns and loadouts.

My suggestion would be to make the case system purely cosmetic, and just add another cashshop system for gun unlocks, because the whole “Open the magical cases to get more weapons” system makes my head spin, especially when all i want is a red dot on my damn gun haha. Its like playing World of Warcraft and you had to open up random cases to “Unlock your abilities”, makes the game so frustrating.

Other then that, the game is really solid, other then the spamming air strikes on objectives making it impossible to move forward but thats for another forum. Thanks for reading and hopefully you guys can fix or address this situation.

That’s almost exactly how I feel about the current loadout-system.
My ideal scenario is, that they rework the cases so that you can only unlock cosmetics and such from them, and that there’d maybe be a separate “weapon store” window for unlocking guns/augments (heck, I’d rather see augments removed)/such, and a loadout window for customizing your setups and augments, so that they aren’t tied to some RNG cards.

The current system is quite the opposite of what I’d like to see in a game that has this much potential to be a competitive shooter.

i agree on the randomness.
loadoutcards are ment to be the thing to customise and adapt yout mercs to your personal playstyle. that doesnt work very good with the randomness.

on the other hand im not shure if buying weapons is a good way to keep this game from pay -to-win … and thats kind of important. and what about arguments? they give advantage, so selling them … uh.

then i would turn it around: let people buy cosmetics, shiny sunglasses for proxy, a nice moustace for fragger, sexy boots for aura, … stuff like that.

With loadouts you get arguments and weapons ( no new and overpowered ones but weapons that are already in the game and balanced )
BUT: it would be nice to mix them acording to yout personal playstyle !
You can trade cards for a higher one - why not trade arguments between cards of the same metal. like you take three silver cards, choose one for the weapons and take a mix of arguments from the other two - for lets say 2000 bucks.

this way DB could make money in selling time not advantage - and people could adapt their merc to their playstyle.

everything you can get by spending money should be available without. it just takes more time. exept cosmetic stuff like a violet furry handbag for fragger to carry his nades around.

+1 also for the randomness of cases… but it’s a difficult problem.

If you could choose a merc before opening a case, it would be too easy right ?

On the other hand, casual players will not stay a long time if their first 5 hard gained cases are useless for them…
And I don’t talk about bad karma people (100 cases => 100 lead useless cards) !!!

Yes, I know, there’s crafting, but it’s very expensive imho.

A really hard problem ^^

Merc Progression through different card quality is to me a not a good idea at all. Make the game unbalanced between people who know how it works and the one who does not. Even though it’s almost unnoticeable. Default mercs should have augments. Why not put the same augments on all the default mercs, and then it fills the remaining slots on the further quality mercs loadouts.

I would welcome the ‘trade up’ ability to include ‘trade a weapon’ or ‘trade an aug’ within the loadout card.

Within reason of course (so no K121 with faster reload).

Main weapon is the primary choice for any loadout. If a loadout doesn’t have the weapon I want, I won’t use it , no matter the pretty colors & skins.
