Suggestion for Arty

If I’m remembering correctly, Arty’s device for calling in artillery strikes USED to project a visible laser from his location to the strike’s destination, much like the laser that was recently added to Javelin’s rocket launcher in Guided Mode. Why was Arty’s removed? Bring it back please!

I hate when my teammates are so completely oblivious that they stand there without moving and stare at the arty as he peeks a corner just long enough to call a strike and then retreats back behind cover. Telegraphing abilities like that is very important. Bringing the laser beam back would help bring arty more in line with skyhammer, without making any changes to the numbers.

I’m pretty sure it was to make Guardian more useful, at least that was the idea.
They nerfed all airstrike indicators, not just arty. And I guess in theory, Guardian is supposed to be the only one who can see (hear) them with her ability, so she can just throw down her drone and protect everyone.
Of course it doesn’t play out well in game, but I think that was the original idea.

My suggestion for artie is to fix it so i can hit the damn ev if it aint moving

But Arty’s laser was removed long before guardian was implemented, in fact i think it was even before turtle. I distinctly remember it having a laser though.

And it’s not like every single match has a guardian in it.

Idk, I don’t remember exactly. I just remember during the Guardian update, airstrike markers got a lot harder to see.
And like I said, it doesn’t play out well in game. It’s just my guess for the reasoning behind it.
