So the way quickchat currently works is by pressing V or whatever key you rebound it to, then pressing the respective number keys to access the proper menus and voice lines. pretty quick, but mistakes can happen(like asking for ammo when youre trying to ask for health, or somehow getting onto the wrong menu due to a misclick).
the idea is simple, bind certain keys to certain lines, so instead of V + 4 + 3 to say thanks, just hit Y or something.

I’m surprised other shooters didn’t adapt this feature, for some odd reason… I only know L4D has it, and that’s it.
ah, the voice thing wheel. insurgency has it too, and thats why none of the voice commands are mapped to anything in the image i posted

Pretty sure that’s a screenshot from Battlefield 2, Jesus, so makes sense that 4 would also. 
yes it’s a commorose…the thing with it is, that it limits you to only few chat commands…what we have in DB is the counter strike one which I really like.
i’d also like some new lines like “going to A/B”, “go A/B” and “go left/right”
