When a shotgun is being reloaded, you have to wait for the entire reload animation to finish.
I suggest that as shells are inserted during the reload, allow players to interrupt the reload animation and fire the gun.

I suggest this for all weapons. if you reload a gun that wasn’t empty, you should be able to cancel out reload and fire it.
It’s a bit different actually, but I agree with your request as well.
Most guns that are magazine-fed, when they hit 0 rounds, you have to replace the entire mag. But with a shotgun, when it hits zero and you reload, you can see the hand put in each shell separately. My request is to let me shoot once a single shell goes in. Many other FPS games have this same function, and that’s the way it would work in reality as well. Unless we’re talking about a magazine-fed shotgun.
Risk reward is that you get to shoot that one extra shot that may put down a hurting opponent, but the cost is that you have to go through that initial animation of putting another round in.
Sure but if you take the old mag out, cancel the reload and the start reloading again you I shouldn’t have to take the old mag out again.
Right, sounds fine to me. This suggestion isn’t about the guns with mags, it’s about being able to fire a shotgun after loading a single shell, which the animation displays.
Different issues. It’s a good idea in the software testing world to try and keep issues separate. It makes it easier to track than lumping 3 or 10 different things into one bug/thread. The title of this thread is about reloading shotguns. If we post other issues under this title, it gets “lost”.
I think the “stop reload with fire” issue is a separate thread anyways. If it is not, it should be. I’ll create one if not.
