Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I couldnt find a suggestion thread even though this is a game in beta phase. But nevermind that.
I think it would be great addition and option to add a reset account option in dirty bomb. Why? Well, the question would be, why not? Some people could use it to make more tactic options in terms of in what to spend their in-game money. Its just a suggestion. And to avoid security problems like a evil little brother trying to reset your account, you could make the reset take one week and that i could be cancelled.
I mean, its not something that would be bad for the game. Its just an option. Lets hope someone from the devs see this,
Don’t see the point. Obviously they wouldn’t refund your credits. So all you’re left with is an account with less unlocks where you’ll have to start grinding all over again. But I guess the people who loves prestige in CoD wouldn’t mind…
I could see a reset rankings option if you want to redo your placement matches at somepoint(might be better to just do seasons in that case), but not reset to level 1. You would have to reearn all of your credits. This seems like more of a thing for new players that made a hasty decision with their level 2 and 4 credits. Honestly, I don’t see it being big enough of a cause for concern that an account reset is required.
I’d rather not have levels nearing the hundreds.
Why not?
Seems unorganized to me, and it could have more value to what leveling up can do besides a case.
So instead of having 500 levels you want 500 levels which are resetted at 51 all the time? What’s the logic behind a reset? Is it for the sake of having a mechanic from CoD? Which value do you see in resetting every 50 levels?

Maybe include a credit bonus, I don’t know? Currently the way leveling is set up at the moment it’s like leveling has no purpose. (Being level 20) Once you hit level 5 you have exhausted your 5 Credit bonuses you earn, and you get access to competitive matchmaking and the rest is just a case and the happiness of leveling up. It could have more to it.

Cause you’ll totally need credit bonuses at level 50, 100, 150, etc.

True, but people might get tired of the game if they have that high of a level. That happened to me with Payday 2, repetitiveness of the same maps, content, etc.
But hey, everything is subject to change.

Well, Payday 2 gave out cosmetic rewards when you did it (sometimes) and leveling was so easy in that game that it didn’t even matter. But, honestly I don’t want to get started on Payday 2, the devs are the worst of any game I’ve played.

Should levelling have a purpose? Tie game fun to a level number is a bad gameplay mechanic, nothing more. CoD and other games need flashy unlocks and much levels to keep the players playing the game because the pure gameplay isn’t enough. Imo people should just PLAY a game they have fun with and not craving for some level-ups, prestiges, flash MLG unocks or other things. Quake had no levels. UT has no levels, Counter-strike/Source has no levels. And people are still playing them. Because fun. Can you say that about CoD Mw3 or Ghosts? Or Bf3?

The reason that people still play that game is because of crappy overpriced content that they found OK, and importantly a motive to level up which was to be higher among others.

Considering you could reach max level in 2 hours, I doubt the infamy system kept people playing. Especially after the shitstorm of disappointment the update to it was.
This is why I want account levels to be hidden and allow mercs to be leveled individually. You will have a goal to shoot for with each merc, could get some neat cosmetic stuff like titles, credits, skins or a case for hitting max level and it could be scaled up over time with new events (like CS:GO operations but free).
It gets rid of the levels that mean nothing and only cause confusion for people who think games are balanced by level, gives people who like progress a way or progress, gives us all something fun and allows SD to scale up levels every 6 months or so with an event (new maps, new skins to obtain etc.) to increase retention, keep player interest high and get old players back. It gives them something to market and something for players to look forward to.

10 irons are worthless compared to 20 levels. I must’ve traded up to at least 50 of them and I’m only level 13. This isn’t including Iron pulls from random equipment cases.
