I would like to suggest being able to choose which merc you want to start with in the lobby.
Here a simple example:
You have Nader in the first slot and Sparks in the third one.
You join a random public game. It’s already in progress and you would like to try out Sparks.
But because Sparks isn’t in the first slot the game will spawn you as Nader.
You have to hit the F3 key and respawn before you can play as Sparks.
It’s not a big deal but I think it would be a good addition.
I plainfully agree. It’s a bit annoying to switch manually our mercs before entering a game that already began. It would be a very fine quality of life change.
You can, but it makes things more complicated than it should be. Switching the order of our mercs with a simple drag and drop on the lobby menu is not that hard to put in place and would be a great quality of life improvement, as well as a time saver.
This has been brought up multiple times and the devs have responded but it doesn’t sound like it’s something that is a high priority thing due to still fixing bugs/adding missing features. You’d think they would have just had people spawn in to the next spawn wave after a loadout sync which would let you change your merc before you spawn just like after you die or the start of a match. But for some reason that’s just never been done.
