Achievements

I personally prefer in game achievements, ala cod/titanfall challenges. It actually is not a big deal to me, but I think it is a good feature for a lot of people. I know some achievement whores that 100% every game. 100% on this game could lead to a lot of purchases since presumably you have achievements specific to each merc. And you can reward them for completing difficult achievements with xp, camos, xp boosts, etc…

Stat tracking

Sorta like battlelog I suppose or WoW armory. Let us look up other player stats on a website/mobile app. I think we’ve heard word on this already but just reminding it is important. It will be kinda weird though since players can change their name. I wonder if nexon has a static numerical identifier that can be used to find a player.

Spectator lobbies

Basically allow spectating in a lobby separate from the game being watched. This helps promote a social experience since you will be capable of chatting easily with other players in the lobby. The lobby will need more social functions than being in game to be worth having and the lobby could be on a time delay of like 30 seconds so competitive matches aren’t ghosted. Making partnerships with shoutcasters could allow them to stream their audio through the client, sorta like dota2 does.

These have all probably been brought up before, but I was bored

Some good ideas.

Achievements encourage using new mercs and trying new play styles. I really liked how in Titanfall you had to complete certain achievements before you could Regen/Prestige… definitely learned some things I otherwise wouldn’t have tried.

I like the idea of global stat tracking, but perhaps an option to make it public/private. I’d also love to see after match stats, similar to gravyStats for ET, but this could probably be achieved by a third party as long as the DB logs have the right info.

Dota 2 like spectating would be fantastic, especially if it had support for shoutcasters and the like. There was nothing better than watching ETTV matches and syncing up a shoutcast

I don’t think making stats private is a good idea. It is actually a good way to catch a hacker/cheater who happens to have 70-80% accuracy (even with sniper that is a sure sign of hacker).

I slightly agree with gravystats, but even more so, I wan’t in-game stats and a console dump of such, to file.
Includes both worlds, post-game “reviews” as well as being able to glance at your accuracy, gibs, revives, damage dealt/received, k/d, etc. all at once in-game. Much more revealing than a post-game summation. The amounts of times I’d check my stats, in-game, in ET to see if my nade, airstrike, arty, rifle or even a mine landed a gib is much more important to me than any of all of those other stats, really. While gravystats is all neat and dandy, and I personally use it frequently ( http://omgimabouttohavean.org/statsold/et/ ), in-game stats are just so much more important, especially so because they lay the foundation for tools such as the above.
A simple +weaponstats bind such as ET’s would be ideal:

what fubar said. this is a must imo and there is nothing that speaks against that.
just add another tab to awards, scoretable and the likes of that.
id also really like to see the damage given and damaga received for my whole team and also the opponents.
would be great to have that sooner than later
I slightly agree with gravystats, but even more so, I wan’t in-game stats…
I really wasn’t saying it should replace any sort of in-game stats or global stat tracking, was simply saying that it would be great if there was log support so a gravyStats equivalent could be created.
