Subversion [by Introversion Software]

Introversion’s Website - Introversion’s Twitter

RPS has a nice piece up about Introversion’s showing of Subversion at the indie World of Love convention. It’s got a 27 minute video of Chris Delay running through a bank heist.

This game just gets me really excited with it’s procedural worlds and nifty gadgets. At worst it’s going to be an awesome action puzzler, at best it’ll blow off some bloody doors! I just wish I could do a Minecraft and pay for the thing now, direct to Introversion and tinker with some early builds.

Reading through the comments someone mentioned Monaco and well I think it at least deserves a place in this thread too.

28 reads an no love for Subversion?

I’m wondering if it’ll have coop play, that’d be pretty neat I think. Pulling off heists and such with your friends.

Didn’t grab my attention unfortunately. It looks clever, but I have no strategy in my bones

I sort of see it as more of a puzzle type thing, but I don’t think even Introversion know exactly what it’s going to end up being. The world is totally procedurally generated which is one of the big things they’ve been working on for the last four years.

If they can merge a random but procedurally created world which is rich in detail and then layer that with a realistic spy/robber co-op model you’d the potential for a very fulfilling game. I’m already wishing that L4D3 would have a mode that allowed more expansive and random levels or even whole campaigns.

Looks interesting, I hope the game makes some money, that guy looks like he hasn’t eaten in weeks.

Introversion makes awesome conceptual games that just don`t sell well.

Looks sweet. Always been partial to squad level rts/action/puzzle games like the Commandos series.

You should use www.socialkik.com to buy Twitter followers … we purchased 10,000 Twitter followers from them and we’re quite satisfied with the results. It was the best marketing and adverting expense that we spent to date. Sales are going through the roof simply because we have a 10K audience on Twitter.
