Uh, I know we do have subtitles during map introduction and tutorials already.
But can we have one in-game whenever my merc speaks something?
Not for Medic! or… Ammo! of course.
But I just want to know or understand what exactly my merc is saying when he/she is taunting, or saying other statements.
Can we have one to avoid misheard sentences/quotes?
The problem with this is that is should only be for your team or for taunts. It shouldn’t be for enemies saying something like “Health Station deployed!” because that would make it ridiculous because you could effectively “hear” enemies perfectly through walls.
I honestly prefer if they just replace the “special taunt #” in chat with the message the merc says.
For example: If I play Aimee and use taunt 5. Instead of showing “Special Taunt 5” in chat it should display “they claimed it was a croissant, I was forced to kill them”.

No. Some taunts are pretty long. And people spamming long taunts will kill any chance to properly communicate via the chat. I did chat from times to times for general shittalk with people, jokes, or rarely to actually tell people something about the fight situation right now. And I don’t want this to be scrolled out by some jackass spamming a taunt which is 3 lines or so.
Love that idea , after more than 150hrs playing fragger , I still dont fully understand his quotes
OF COURSE I didn’t meant that. Just my merc’s own voice line, or may be team mate’s quote, if advanced.

Then, let me shoose the middle. How about we abbreviate the taunts?
Just like the normal taunts in V-7.
I agree they are too long, but also agree that Special taunt 1,2,3,… is also too simple.
