Ok I made some minor changes but enough to call this one b4. I added a buildable barrier protecting the service hall. Unlocked most of the doors for axis. Added some passages in both the first and last phases. Fixed a few bugs as well.

Ok after a long break I decided to pick up the editor some and made some adjustments to this old map of mine.

Ill first say sorry for map size… but I used some custom textures because I wanted a certain look to this map.

Teams:
Axis - Attacking
Allies - Defending

Times:
Map: 15 minutes
Axis - 15 seconds
Allies - 25 seconds

Storyline:

The allies have taken control of an Axis Sub Pen. The Axis forces were push out with just haste, that they left behind a top secrete decoder known as the Enigma Machine. The allies now have this in their control and are hard at work figuring out how it works.

The Axis must get this back at all costs.

Let me just show some screenshots.


Water was added under the bridge.


Main Bunker Entrance no longer has the Buildable Defenses.


New Capturable Spawn Area.


Neutral Command Post that allows Attackers to spawn when Secured.


Redesigned Service Entrance provides an alternate route to the Sub Pen.


Outside view of the Sub Pen Doors. Note the door in between them is destroyable allowing a 3rd route to the objective area.


A view of the Sub Pen here reviels the location of the Enigma Decoder.

A few floating boxes need texturing fixed, command map has some buggy icons. I think the FPS is pretty good now.

Definently one to consider for competition.

edit: also a func_rotating with a broken origin :stuck_out_tongue:

What’s with the orbiting flying saucer? I’d make the main bunker entrance look like it has been blown open. That way, you are reinforcing the idea that the Allies recently took the base, and explain why there isn’t a lockable door, or even a door.

the flying saucer thing gone. Was a bug i missed. But gone… I like your idea of showing the front door blown open. Kinda gives me an idea to have another map for allies attacking to take over the base. But thats later.

So far ive made some minor changes. Fixed the command map icons. Set areas for mines. Also a buildable barrier blocking the service hall entrance that can be blown with dyno or satchel. Also axis covies will be able to enter the allied doors. and a few other suprises thrown in…

Sounds a bit like a Medal of Honor: Frontline level, though. Like the idea.

what radiant version are you using? I need an Et-Example Maps for my Radiant 1.4. Do you have the file? If so, Pm me if you got it and I can give you my e-mail adress and you can mail it to me.

.map files will work just as well in 1.4 or 1.5

Hey,
I have played the b4 version on our Public and I was shocked!
The FPS were ok in the b3 but now they are horrible - same areas with 35 fps for me ;D and my system is not low :wink:

would be a nice map if you acn increase this!

i found a leak in the map itself, so I will be recompiling it to improve this.

Look for a new (FINAL) release within the next 2 weeks.
