This happen to me today. I wanted to play a match so i went to quick join an objective match. As I clicked join i remembered that i need to change my mercs for quests so i canceled the search, however the second after i canceled the game went to a loading screen for a match but it stuck there until i had to alt+f4. Probably i canceled the moment when the game found a server for me but it never loaded the game.
