I take it you’re an smg soldier in ET?
Strogg or GDF?

No, that would be too easy.
I used to play just flamethrower for months. Try using flamethrower. It sometimes worked when there were still many newbies, but now… It’s easier to kill people with dynamite, seriously. At least there’s a guarantee someone will come close (engies, at least). No amount of trickery and ambushes can make flamethrower even semi useful against (mostly hardcore now) players. Abundance of medics doesn’t help.
By the way… even loud and very laggy satchel has better tactical uses than a flamethrower. Look here:

What you see is a proper use of satchel. Allies will either stop before satchel, becoming easy targets to attacks with THE best short range smg, or will try to run past it, receiving lots of lead in the process.
If you sense multiple allies terrified by your decoy, have fun with grenade
People have more respect for satchel than it’s worth.
DIsclaimer: I use 640 because my rig contains GeForce2 MX.
And look at my PERFECT crosshair. To make one, select the big cross crosshair, make half of it totally translucent, and the other (inner half) Huge.
I will play both sides, in game however i let faith decide joining the weakest team
This poll frightens me. One of the biggest annoyances in W:ET are the losers who will sit in spec for an hour waiting to get a spot on Axis, because Axis typically plays defense which is typically easier.
Tip: If there’s a “auto-select” option, USE IT. Let the server place you where you’re needed. Don’t form some rediculous alliance to an imaginary faction in a video game. Play them both with the same frequency.
Agreed. Railgun is a quite unbalanced map, when played out of the box and on a typical pub, especially after some XP has accrued. In competition it can be an amazingly fun map though. Outcomes are not guaranteed, and the battle for the depot yard can be some of the most fun you’ll have in W:ET.
This brings to mind something I’ve wanted to ask the SD guys, but rather than making a new thread I’ll ask here and hope they see it:
The DoD:S people have been tracking server stats and have opened a public page of the results here. I find this amazingly cool. I particularly like the map win/loss data. Anyone who’s played DoD knows Avalanche is unbalanced in favor of Axis, and now the proof is in black and white. Also, as only a casual DoDer, I wouldn’t have been able to guess what the most balanced map was. Now, thanks to that web page, I know the answer (as of this post) is Flash. Obviously this is just pub data and competition could be different (as in Railgun), but it’s undeniably cool to be given such “official” data by the developers. Please, if at all possible, do something similar in ET:QW. Not only will it be helpful to players, but to you as developers when looking at balancing issues for both weapons and maps.
