Nice map indeed, still a few small things such as the heights are just that little bit too high to jump off most things.

All of these had overlapping on my cfg. Try polygonOffset for that if you don’t have it yet. Also you can try sort banner.

Nice map, but there’s too much places to get shot from. I can hardly imagine myself playing this on nq with 3 panzers and 2 flamers per team. For etpro and no panzer it might rock.

Edit. resized the pic, that’s why it’s bad quality.

{SSF}Sage, have you got a low spec machine? Because I’ve tried the same thing you have done in your cfg, but it had no effect on speed.

IndyJones, Nice looking map you have there.

Well, I’ve just tested it… pretty cool one :stuck_out_tongue: I can feel the SoF’s deatmatch atmosphere :smiley:

Bugs:

  • no limbo camera for Axis Forward Spawn?
  • too bright in the room where an opera’s singer is played; also the light beam from one of the window is not looking well; btw the lamps’ glow is a nice idea but for dark maps imo :slight_smile:
  • truck’s engine seems to start again every time it’s getting “stopped & then started” (however the “working sound” is still looping)

Hmm, I must say, the map’s size is very big just like Venice’s. Though I love Italy.

No. It’s an old messed cfg. I don’t know what I had done to it. :stroggbanana: I don’t pub a lot so that cfg isn’t updated.

Yes - beautiful and full of atmosphere - and very detailed.
Really nice work Indy - will add it to our campaign.
As Igloo said - the start engine sound keeps playing and its a bit high too.
I can see the lines on the skybox - not sure what does it.
Looking forward to have go at it on the server.

thanks for all comments. it’s just FP1, there will be another version for sure :wink:
about the jeep engine - as far i noticed, it occurs only on servers with mod - on etmain everything is working perfectly.

these lines are caused by skyfix during compile - i’m not sure what it does, but it helps on ati cards.

what would you say for a small party today at 20:00 UTC/GMT +2 hours ?
etpro/noquarter maybe?

just in case - TEAMWORK! without good teamwork map may seem unbalanced… but it is balanced. :slight_smile:

Had a 1 vs 1 game on it - i like playing on it.
I think allies will have a hard time gettin the gold tho - you should consider a alternativ way up/down.
I was able to lean inside the wall where the gold is - easy to see when players are coming up/down - clipping should fix it.
Would join you if i could - but im away most of the evening.
I will let it run as default on my jaymod server if someone wants to play it.

-skyfix might be something old. The description in Q3map2 Toolz says: Removes the black borders around skyboxes (for ATI and newer NVIDIA gfx cards)

i’m not sure what do you mean with that leaning into wall. i’ve joined ur server. could you show me it?

teamwork is the key to success… play it a bit more and u will see that map is balanced :slight_smile:

Its so good to this map public playable. I remember when we had a run-thru around this map for a first time. Windows and doors were still caulks then.
Ill join the server when I have time
