Strafe and backpedaling Speed

it just transpires into my head

what if every merc has different strafe and backpedaling speed?

for example, Stoker and Skyhammer has different backpedaling speed where Skyhammer is faster but slower on strafing?

whatchu think fam?

Feel like that could be a bit annoying. They already have different overall speeds from light mercs to heavy mercs, which already translates to slower backpedaling and strafing right there.

This works fine, adding an extra modifier to backpedaling and strafing on top of this just feels a bit unnecessary, what would we be gaining exactly other than the potential to be annoyed by it?

Some characters might have slower speeds and instead of backing up, you’d have to turn around and walk forward to get back into cover?

what im thinking is for the big mercs 120hp+
because even with the slower speed they can still effectively wall jumping to get around quicker.

but then its just a theory, you just pointed the flaw of it.
i just want to know what i think

Yeah, just seems unnecessary and kind of annoying to get used to. I’d rather keep it as similar mercs with slightly different speeds, than throwing in a new modifier to figure out.

Gotte love the out of the box thinking, but I guess this would not fit DB fast paced gameplay.
